Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

Ha ha amazing sleuthing
The musical has nothing to do with the Toy Show. The viewer numbers as mentioned for the Toy SHow would say different, after all plenty of other shows are "free" and they dont get close to those numbers
The problem for Tubs is he seen what happened to Schofield....inn reality Schofield hit rocky waters and then his agents dumped him very quickly because the other people they had assigned to them didn't want to be dragged into his mess
This is the problem now is Noek Kelly and everyone on his website is now a target for criticism and he potentially could have loads of people leaving him to cover off one guy who is potentially now dead in the water anyway byt the publics reactions
If you are an agent now I am sure they will be ringing all of these "stars" telling them they need to get out or they will be the next Tubs and hurt their image. Lottie of course was first to jump and made out it was planned months ago but she seen the heat was on and in reality she can't defend herself. She is overpaid and had no position in RTE of any value.
The only real involvement that RTÉ have with Mrs Browne's Boys is it co-produces it for BBC, not sure if they even make money out of it, the only connection is that it was on The Gareth O'Callaghan Show in the 1990s. RTÉ make very little outside news and sport
If you look at most of the English comments on various social media in response to the BBC article, the response is: money laundering. Let's not take people for fools. You don't spend that much on flip flops for anything. What person in business is that stupid?
Where's the receipt? Who got them? Who wore them? Are they in storage? Do they even exist?
There definitely is a conflict of interest risk there for George Lee, especially as he is the environment correspondent. Will he be able to cover the pros and cons of EV cars fairly and impartially? The risk is he becomes an advocate for EV cars. There is no way someone working in news or current affairs should have such a link.
Yes there should be a public broadcaster but let them stand on their own two feet and not the pockets of the people
It's hardly a brand ambassador car that was returned?
It sounds more like an RTE car.
I don't know how it would appear anywhere that this person had a brand ambassador car and was getting a car allowance too unless the individuals own tax affairs were being investigated.
It sounded to me, more like that it was Dee Forbes who had it.
Well George Lee isn't the name I heard. And I'm not sure an Electric car battery would last long enough to get someone all the way to next years Eurovision in Sweden! ;)
Go on, give us a clue!
That was today
Should he be driving an eco friendly car?
Looks like Facebook to me, if its still there.
the politicians are firmly in the spotlight too and while they may have the high ground, my jasus, from the questioning and carry pn, how did some of them get there. Catherine has been very quiet as well, few external investigations ordered, that was it really.
Also RTE seem to meet the government alot for various things so why aren't they so quick to sniff out what's going on with tax payers money - which should be their main job.. if RTE in such a mess with money, get the accountants etc in to look at the books and barter acc's, query high salaries. Maybe too much of an uncomfortable truth.
all public depts using tax payers money should get external audits now, salaries , benefits.. freebies queried.. put the skids up them all, but they wont.
No prob though throwing tax increases on Joe public to fill the gaps...
I've heard who he is - But I cannot possibly verify :)
Evolving tipps post a few above mine. I can’t see the Instagram post on Windsor motors page
Why is a staff member of RTE news and current affairs endorsing a particular brand of car?
Even if he bought and paid for that car himself, this is completely unacceptable.
If he got it for free and it was signed off by his manager, well then, he should no longer be on air.
This is potentially a lot more serious than Loddie dancing around her Toyota.
Tell more.
Appears real salary closer to 750k, that wage included back pay.
Anyway, if it's a brain surgeon, maybe they are worth that money? Compared to a guy who earns 500k for telling you daily what he watched on TV the night before or on his huge amount of time off.
I've paid to see the RTE Concert Orchestra.
Lots of people have paid in to see Mrs Browns Boys live, which RTE helped to produce.
And Apres Match in the past.
Toy Show the musical was crap, it wasn't the same as the show itself.

George bleedin’ Lee
???
I cannot see how appearing before the Oireachtas committee is going to do anything but make the situation worse for RT, but it will be must-see tv, that’s for sure!
There is no way to spin this to absolve himself of some of the responsibility. There is no way to spin this other than greed. Yet he has put himself in this position of being between a rock and a hard place- damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.
He has destroyed his extremely privileged and well-paid career, for what? A secret 10% pay bump while his colleagues are having to scrape by with the bare minimum of remuneration and equipment? When he’s already a millionaire with the kind of cushy life most can only dream of?
When you think about how it was only May that he was getting a send off show almost entirely dedicated to telling him how wonderful he is, with freebies and celebrities from around the world chiming in.
The speed of his fall from grace has been incredible. Unfortunately for him, we also live in probably the most extreme time of inequality between the haves and the have nots, compounded by a cost of living crisis. People aren’t stupid and won’t have patience for any kind of sob story. I really don’t see how there’s any way back to anything like the kind of career he had before, and nor should there be.
Lidl are getting a bit of craic outa yesterday's session anyways

The licence fee is mandatory. It's the law to pay it.
When tested with a charge on a Toy Show musical, it failed. Nobody wanted to pay for it.
for the minute or so i listened to that and the previous time i was in dentists i have to ask how is he being given that amount of money? id do that job for way less...i can grunt and groan and belch and sound like im having a crafty tommy tank all day and ill do it for 60grand a year!! (plus 25k car allowance AND flip-flops!!!)

Padre Sorolla
From what I remember it would be talked about on the Friday and everyone would just be saying that they were staying up to watch it, and Honestly I never remember it being mentioned on Monday morning. I think Mammy's are to blame.
Dee Forbes.
Sorry, I just assume that's the answer to most questions these days.
