Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

The last few hours were shite. Soft ball questions. Feel deflated that nothing will come of this now.
They should have had a break for an hour midway, too long to be running the thing without a proper break.
And probably phones it in!
Tubridy no payment in the last month.
Not aware that Tubridy or agent asked for record to be corrected on published pay.
Benefit in kind for the cars could be a bigger issue when detail comes out...
If any of them smoke they must be dying for a cigarette.
So 30 or so people's license fee went on flip flops. My God.
Player maybe.
Nothing of any real significance was ever going to come of it, no more than it did from the numerous tribunals and investigations of previous scandals in the past.
This is theatre. It's distraction from the far more serious issues facing this country and allowing the Government to breathe a sigh of relief for as long as it continues.
Serious question - was Eugene Murphy Bosco?
He seemed to be talking along them lines or had some link.
?? But she wasn't there to check forklifts, she was there to check out the centre, what's the problem?
37 TV Licences. To buy 200 pairs of flip flops. For a party.
there are levels. And most of us are not on that level.
No, it's was Paula Lambert. It seems it was made in his neck of the woods and that's their claim to fame.
Is Tony not paid directly from the ministry of propaganda in Brussels?
‘Loddy’ Ryan will be on the Dublin bus to work this week!!
Adrian Lynch said he couldn't name the person because of GDPR. Hiding behind something he knows nothing about. That is not a GDPR issue. Such an easy excuse though along with "commercially sensitive", "legal matter" and "I don't recall".
Will be on the archive probably tomorrow
Oireachtas committee meeting live stream – Houses of the Oireachtas
Havianas, dahling, for the luvvies' precious tootsies.
One couldn't put one's best foot forward in cheap flip flops or, heaven forbid, bring their own.
be gas if someone rang up joe duffy tomorrow asking "wheres my flip-flops joe?"
You can but it will depend on how quickly the Oireachtas website puts it up.
Listen to the first two minutes (if you can manage it) lots of flip flop chat. This man is current top paid person in RTE..
Who can listen to this absolute bollocks and think...yeah this guy is worth 351k a year!
You could be right.
Another poster a few days ago suggested this RTE circus was to detract attention from other things - maybe they were right. Depends on how much the total losses / mismanagement comes to.
The RTE losses may well pale into insignificance when compared to other losses incurred by government departments. One example was the Oireachtas spending committee heard yesterday that 150m has been lost on abandoned transport projects but that's a government department so no board or semi-state employees to beat up about that.
So something similar to Katherine Thomas’s mother who was near the twin towers years before they were attacked ?
So no-one would ever advertise in RTE unless induced to do so? No-one at all?
OMG I thought this was a joke but no true "€5,000 for 200 pairs of Havainas flip flops for a summer party for corporate clients in 2016" what about going bare foot or Penneys hun
You don't send someone who hasn't a clue about forklifts into a forklift centre to see if there are adequate arrangements in place for it to continue to be a FAS approved training centre. If she doesn't know that the pointy things on the front of the forklift are the forks, she's hardly going to know if the aisles are wide enough, is the chicane set up correctly, is there industrial racking etc. You send in an inspector who knows what to look for in a forklift training centre.
I know nothing about bookkeeping. Would you send me into RTE to see if their accounts are in order?
An ad for Riverdance during the 6 One News.
You couldn't make it up!
Wow! Just wow! What other weird things do you do?
I suppose it's a bit of a lesson of what can happen when stuff goes sideways.
Ultimately almost everyone there on the RTE side is earning north of 200k per annum with other associated perks no doubt. Generally they've had very safe gigs over the years and plenty exit routes available to them. The politicians don't see anywhere near the perks and can easily be out on their ear, I suppose when they opportunity is there it has to be taken.
I am not sure about some of the to and fro ing around whether a Garda investigation is warranted in relation to fraud with RTE saying the legal advise they have received is that no fraud has taken place.
Surely the standard practice is that there is a full investigation by the Gardai or the OCE and they compile the evidence, present to the DPP and the DPP makes a call on whether an attempt to prosecute is warranted?
Without a full investigation it is not possible to make those calls so I have no idea what the legal advise is actually based on......which would make you question any excuses about legal advice.
5 year car loan? Who paid insurance, tax, nct, servicing? And any tax on bik?
Revenue also need to send someone into RTE.
cheers - I really wanna see Geraldine O'L in action.. see if she has any shame at all..
