Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

"A member of the Future of Media Commission has said the revelation of more barter accounts in RTÉ "is not something that the public wish to hear".
Dr Finola Doyle-O'Neill, who is a broadcast and legal historian at the School of History in UCC, said that the Broadcasting Act of 2009 had "huge provisions there for all of these areas of accountability".
"And I would strongly suggest that the incoming director would take a look at sections 92 to 109 of the Broadcasting Act - the areas of accountability of the Director General to disclosure of staff and contract payments, statements of strategy," Dr Doyle-O'Neill said.
"All these are covered and it appears that nobody has really read the provisions of the Broadcasting Act."
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, she said that as a member of the Future of Media Commission, "we also recommended that RTÉ and TG4 would be designated bodies under Section 19 of the National Treasury Management Act, that they would avail of the oversight and strategic planning capabilities of New Era."
She said that that has not been implemented yet."
And a solicitor's letter from RT and NKM confirming they wish to attend. Why a solicitor, do they know there's fraud involved?
I've read that the full details were only given to Renault after they signed the contract. I'll see if I can find it.
Here it is:
I'd say there are some Politicos starting to sweat as more and more comes out and that's where the story will quieten.
Ryan Tubridys salary is only one issue in the scheme of some major failings unearthing a lot of skeletons.
Could RT blame his agent for everyhing...like sayiing the usual leave everythiing to him blah blah.....
The way the information is being leaked slowly gets me thinking that its a coordinated plan of self preservation between the whole lot of them...
It puts the lie to how some were trying to spin it that this came from Renault, that it was new money to Tubrudy.
Tubridy's €150,000 top-up payments, in two €75,000 instalments, were in lieu of the money Renault was supposed to pay in advertising fees.
RTÉ has also confirmed that it spent nearly €50,000 in helping to stage three Renault events, as a result of this deal. The cost of staging the events was €30,586. As RTÉ paid the costs through a barter account, the total cost to RTÉ came to €47,477.
So Dee Forbes misappropriated money from the Renault sponsorship deal to give to Tubridy as part of this scam, and then had to waste another €50,000 to run the sham events.
Where are those “nothingburger” fellas/aliases that pop up on FFG threads whenever some dirt comes out about them? Think I saw him earlier on in this thread with his stock “nothing burger” remark. Idiot.
I don't agree, I would say this is the best thing that has happened the coalition. The amount of heat on RTE for the next 6 months will act as a shltguard for the government, it will be the one thing that even Una Mullally cannot blame on Leo Varadkar
GAAGO subscription figures?
Not now that a letter that was sent directly from DF to RT is in the public domain. He always knew.
When he said, "When it comes to this sort of issue, that's not something I've ever been found wanting in and that continues to be the case, yeah", I think we all might have misinterpreted what he meant; for clarity he should have said, ".... not something I've ever been found wanting in my pay and that continues to be the case, yeah"
It's a case of what we heard versus what we got. Yeah, indeed!
€2.2 million the figure provided by RTE for Toy Show the musical losses.
Projected to make 3.5 million and made less than half a million.
Jeebus
The crap is really going to hit the fan on this one, so recent. Heads have to roll.
I hope Montrose gets liquidated and the land turned into a giant halting site
I see that but wasnt that sent via his agent?
The way this is playing out is that everyone is blaming everyone but themselves.....we could still be getting fed information drip by drip for the foreseeable future..
What about Fair City?
The Coveney fella has hardly said a word since the enquiry began and happily sat there keeping schtum whilst a question was asked about more barter accounts
If Coveney's not up sh1t creek after this, both Oireachtas committees might as well fold their tents and silently steal away (with apologies to Longfellow)
Why hadn't people been sacked after the Toy Show Musical farce? Why weren't they sacked in January.
....O'Malley
I'm not sure you know what an NGO is. An NGO isn't necessarily an international company but in some cases it is. Here's a simple definition of an NGO.
An NGO is an organization that is independent from government control that operates on a not-for-profit level. That includes charities and non-profits. You could call it a broad term that encompasses both.
There are thousands in Ireland, and many charities are NGO's. Examples include Trocaire, Focus Ireland, Irish Refugee Council and a whole rake of charities.
It’s all a bit like
The letter has his Tuttle company’s registered address as the recipient.
The name will be changed to "Consequences City" and it will take place on the halting site.
And if Renault hadn’t pulled out, there would be 50k (at least but probably more due to inflation) over the 5yrs of the deal. So could have been 250k.
Turned into a porn set.
Fair Tity.
On separate note: greatest movie scene in history
Just to give Tubridy more money under the counter.
I expect he was seeking legal advice and deciding what spin would look best. Lowlife scum
The HSE ransomware cost a lot more and not a single person or company involved have been sacked or had contracts terminated. Instead the smae people and same companies have had millions ploughed into them to fix the issue they made.
The Toy Show musical is tiny in comparison so I doubt anything will happen with that
The cultural cesspit attitude that permeates public/semi publically funded bodies and this country as a whole.
"Ah sure what harm is it - no one was hurt"
We see 300 million spent to date on multiple iterations of consultancy fees for metro north and not a sod turned on it, and the children's hospital budget overrun from 400 million to 1.6bn.
It is that attitude that is the cause so much money in the country being wasted.
I've multiple projects on my plate with of millions being spent on them. If it happened one of my projects, where the forecast/business case was so wrong - I would be out on my ear in a shot.
