Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

I would say a lot more to come out, toy show the musical just one of them.
A lot more jollys for "clients" and the like, Eurovision definitely a huge spend each year with a lot of hangers ons.
The clowns.
The PAC asked for all the transactions over past 20 years from The barter account. They should have asked for all the barter accounts.
No wonder Coveney was so meek and quiet and ignorant about the Toy Show Musical losses.
Yep down to 1 night a week, be interesting to see if it is on In July. I think Six one will be put to bed in mid-July this year.
Barta Barta parties
Sort of an Irish Bunga Bunga party
Will they give Coveney a grilling or will he be treated with gloves? Wasn't the toy Show The Musical his baby?
This was particularly weird wouldn't you say?
His pride and glory and he didn't mention a thing about it.
The merch sales expectations will be most interesting.
Ha ha who is the Silvio equivalent with comparable dodgy hair...say it ain't so!!!
I'd advise any company advertising on RTE One and RTE2 between 13.30 and 16.30 tomorrow pm not to bother - Oireachtas TV is where it's at
I would love to see what happened all the millions donated to the Late Late Show, how much ended up with the people it was supposed to and how much was needed for "admin"
How did they think they were going to get away with this?
Are they all at home practising "Only Dee knew" in front of a mirror?
Apparently the musical involved a story about a parent having cancer or dying from it.
Typical RTE misery.
Back in the 2000's a cocaine budget was nick named the POPCORN budget in irish filmmaking circles. That show cost more than €1m.
And theres a barter account for everyone in the audience building...
The DG is the only one that can be compelled to go to the Oireachtas, Jim Jennings (Director of Content AKA Director of Radio) is currently on Sick Leave.
You'd want some money to attend a bunga bunga party with Marty.
He will keep saying there is still "value" in the brand they still have the sets (probably not free to store) and the errr songs.
I wonder could this end up going beyond RTE.. Like how many government funded bodies have these barter accounts, and how many CFOs are sweating something almighty right now.
The CFO eijet last week said there was only one barter account.
We're all in this together.
During the Today show! Oh no its on Holiday much like Prime Time.
Is it a crime to lie to an Oireachtas committee?
Never, ever thought I'd be excited about an upcoming afternoon of Oireachtas TV. 'Young me' would be disgusted.
Maybe he thought funds would come out of his barter account for it.
No. The actors came up with this self employed via a company for tax reasons. It's got nothing to do with RTE letting them go or making them redundant.
In fact the "stars" RTE are paying are not working for any other channels or any other shows. They are RTE employees just using multiple loop holes to screw the tax payers etc.
You are aware that at the moment Tubs has no contract and is still getting paid by RTE? they have crazy rights with RTE anyway. The loop holes been used is benefitting the actors and nobody else. RTE are just stupid enough they have let them away with it for years
I'd imagine it is a crime to lie to an Oireachtas committee but it's difficult to prove someone told a lie. The CFO could say that he was mistaken or that someone gave him the wrong number of Barter Accounts.
I'm not trying to cover for the CFO by the way, just stating that just because someone says something that isn't true, that doesn't mean that they are lying.
Some of the members of the Media Committee are dreadful.
It's probably a typically insignificant committee that is packed full of the political duds of the Dail. Mattie McGrath, Marie Sherlock, Niamh Smyth and many more.
I'd say website will crash again!
More analysis on RTE now.
Those arrangements suit RTE too. No holiday pay etc.
