Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

Are you seriously recommending putting graduates into senior management roles when we get rid of the big fish? That'll end well.
Obviously, you don't start with graduates...
Okay, the main point is all positions are graded and capped.(and yes benchmarked on the market and other industries, and can we reviewed and adjusted)
You hire for the position and the grade...no negotiations, the levels are set, if you don't like it then they can go elsewhere.
But you also hire (Retain) Senior, Mid, Junior, grads, and apprentice levels etc, and then train and allow for progression within the company, still on the graded capped levels. (And if needed if there is no suitable internal candidate you can hire externally again)
I don't disagree with you in principle. But capping at €100k is too low for senior management, e.g. Morgan McKinley put the typical CFO wage between €130k and €300k.
But my next question is how do you bring in this new senior management given that those positions are already occupied?
I assume it all kicks off again on Wednesday and Thursday?
No secret I used to mod in radio, at a time I knew something of what was going on, mainly because it was plain to see for anybody with both an interest in broadcast media coupled with a bit of cop-on. Had a series of rather unpleasant & threatening, very personally directed #notkind PMs in my inbox. Mesmerising when people are so benevolent in self-portrayal.
The dying bee may sting all it likes, stingaway.
I suppose he could write his life story.
Both of these are answered in my post...
I don't know the cap level...but as I said -> it needs to be benchmarked in other Media and/or other businesses and then set realistic levels for a public body for each position.
Also, I have said, Retain and/or hire, so current staff can be retained (On current or new capped salary I'm not so sure what is possible??), or who will be lost anyway based on the current or new scandals to come..., but if they have done nothing wrong then they are retained of course.

I'm open to correction here but given that RTE is State owned, wouldn't that make the permanent staff Public Servants? And if so, good luck trying to get rid of them, even if they did do stuff wrong. T'wud want to be something very illegal for them to be sacked.
I noticed that.
RTE "stars" have to declare any freebies or payments they received in the last 3 years according to The Currency.
They're also usually attacked on the grounds of their mental health too. Pathetic to attack someone like that.
You hire for the position and the grade...no negotiations, the levels are set,
That sounds communistic and distinctly unmeritocratic.
Like the good, experienced senior management people currently on 250k plus that we saw last week in front of the PAC ?

One I noticed this wend - Richard Keys - himself and Andy G made comments about female lines person- caught off air, both fired.
Then Richard K had affair on wife with his daughters best mate, and married her this wend.
There are ways back into media but wondering how this would might apply to Tubs.
He can never hard question anyone in Ireland.
His radio might be ok as no one talks to him but listernship will nose dive.
He could go podcasting - he'd need a sponsor.
Serious question - would his experience in the last 10+ yrs give him a shot to do something elsewhere?
this is genuine thought - is there redemption for RT somewhere for a career in media/broadcasting?
Discuss.

Covid was a massive transfer of wealth.
Thats why the country has been and currently still is being screwed by those with the virus - rapacious greed - or RG as it is now known. I believe Pzfizer are currently working on a vaccine which should be available to the upper middle class sometime before Christmas.

Corruption is intrinsic to Irish island culture.
It wouldn't. RTE is a semi state company like ESB. It can operate its own HR policies separate to the civil and public service.
There's a few people on this thread that I would love to see presenting on RTE - never mind an actual "presenter". I'd say there wouldn't be many people on this thread that wounld turn down 100-150K a year for max 15-20 hours per week to present a radio/TV show with a team of researchers and producers etc behind them - thus opening up the door for them to earn more in other gigs that would spin off from the initial gig, as you suggest.
pigs, dogs, sheep
Great album
The market dictates salaries regardless if it's a public body or not. If RTE can't pay the market rate then they won't get the calibre of people they need to run the organisation effectively.
Capping the wages at 100k or below the market rate for similar managerial roles will only do more harm than good imo.
No one at a senior management level worth their talent is going take those roles for 100k. Why would they? They'd struggle even if it was double.
This is different to presenter salaries for which the competition/demand just isn't there to justify their current salaries in a small market like ours.
If you want the best people to run the place you need competitive salaries otherwise you'll end up in a bigger mess with a management who are at best under qualified, at worst not qualified at all.
RTE is going to need serious people running the show in the years ahead. That costs money.
Would have been an even bigger one if it hadn’t been for the vaccines.
So the civil service is communistic ? McCarthy witch trials anyone?
