Tubridy had said very recently on his radio show that he intended to diverge into podcasts in lieu of LLS, presumably RTE funding this. He’s such a toxic brand this is no longer feasible, unless he harbours a fantasy that his loyal faithful fans might pay a subscription to view his content. Personally I’d put a blindfold & ear muffs on to avoid witnessing his content.
I haven't read through 230 pages, but has anyone asked who audits the accounts for RTE, and what were they doing the last few years?

Tubridy is finished at rte is my best guess but rte will have to continue to pay his contract till 2025 for his radio show or face litigation that will cost far more.
According to many sources he was already out of contract.
Surely not for his radio show though?
Has it been explained why it took 4 months for this to come to light, if we are to believe that it was all only discovered in March?
According to some reports, his contract was for the LLS and the radio show and it was ended when he stopped doing the LLS. The contract for the radio show was under renegotiation and all contract negotiations have now been paused.

30 years ... and more ... would be indeed more accurate than 20 !! especially relating to this Late Late Show .... I think RTE and that show wrt salary was like a rolling snowball gathering more snow etc as it goes along .... now the original 'snowball' of salary is part of a much bigger 'snowball' now ... no one stopped that 'snowball' as it got bigger and bigger .... until now ...
Serious rules need to be laid down wrt max salaries RTE guys can earn ... for many years people are sick of these obscene salaries .... remember this guy back in 2009 during the height of the banking crisis ??

14 years on the fundamental reasons for such live on TV rants has not been addressed .... back then it was Kenny who was #1 earner ... now it has been Tubridy ... and we now hear Kielty has 250K for 30 weeks presenting a 2.25 hour show ... nice work if you can get it ....

'Galway tent' culture has lived on in RTE .... politicians and bankers were often the focus when the blame game of squandering money started .. but these guys on RTE were treated too softly ... for years they have earned much more than any top politician ever earned and more than the most crooked bankers we have had too ... that guy who attacked Pat Kenny on The Frontline back in 2009 may have been a bit OTT aggressive but what he was saying was correct ....
That was overtaken by the announcement of the contract negotiations being paused.
The situation for all the "talent" renegotiating their contracts may be the same as RTE is in a lot of trouble over this with at least one external review pending.
Lottie Ryan is apparently a contractor too and filmed on RTE grounds without permission recently...

Just reminiscing about comments that were made back in the good old days, when there would have been in excess of 30 pages of witty and occasional withering posts about that week’s LLS in its own, discrete thread. As the fun-factor declined, and weekly threads became weakly threads, it was decided to have a single “mega-thread” covering the remaining series in one place.
Who would have thought that, in a few short but explosive weeks of revelations, Ryan would have 230 (and still rising) pages - and nearly 7000 posts devoted to his financial gymnastics. Whoever said, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity” was probably being sarcastic. Funny old world, ain’t it?

There are often talents which run in families.
Some families are good at dentistry, some are good at plumbing, some are good at football, some are are good at broadcasting.
Talent is a God given gift.
