Richard Howard is a **** shite advisor it seems. He needs to be looked at because he was involved in the FAI aswell. What other state/semi state entities has he been involved with? Is he a sort of go to person on creative matters🤔
93% believe RT not to blame. I find that hard to believe. What did he look at his account and think the tooth fairy was visiting? It was blatantly obvious he was receiving surplus cash and didn’t blow the whistle. He kept his mouth shut and pocketed the money hoping no one was the wiser. Concealment.

The fact I have bought advertising from RTÉ does not preclude me from commenting on the quality of the output, the contradictions expressed aloud by a host, or for example questioning the relationship between an agent and the station.
Just bought the Indo.....surprised to see 47% of people think he shouldn't be on RTE again. That seems low

Just based on my own personal interactions the last few days I have yet to meet a single person who says he should be back on, even the guy in the shop who I had a quick chat while buying the paper said he is "screwed but can't go back on RTE"

Ireland is tiny, believe me in my industry it is alarming how everyone knows each other and we all travel in the same circles etc. Im sure journalist and media people are in a similar boat
The press have never printed any of the multiple stories that float around about Tubs so you would have to expect he has friends in media. Im sure if he gets back to "the top" he will do some free interviews etc

Living in the country. Detecting that people dislike RTE much more than any one individual or individuals associated with it. Regard it as an institution that's Dublin centric, that continually tries to manipulate how ordinary people 'should' think about issues. People are disgusted with the current revelations, are not surprised, and expect many more similar revelations leading to the eventual disintegration of the organisation. Most people will not regret that happening.
RTE have been poor mouthing to the government every year re funding deficits. The government probably took them at their word with regards to funding shortfalls and costs but now that we know they love creative accounting and unscrupulous spending, every year/aspect of their accounts needs to be audited.
I think you are right. I think their coverage of Covid copper fastened the public's perception of this flawed organisation.
