The option is there. I paid via Apple Pay on my purchase. Will report back when I get the items.

Fewer and fewer Asian online sellers offer free delivery to Ireland, so this is most welcome. Thanks for posting.

EDIT: That countdown in the top left corner, next to "Free Shipping on all orders" does not bode well though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 489 ✭✭Cameraman

If you click on the countdown, you get :

Free standard shipping on all orders, until Jun 29 11:59:59 pm IST.

Get a €5 credit (standard shipping) for late delivery.

Its seems to be a rolling date so far... 🙄 hopefully they keep extending it

I used TEMU 2 weeks ago to order some summer shirts/shorts and some sunglasses. Got it delivered last Saturday so took 8 days in total from order to delivery. Quality of the clothes were really good too. Though not sure if I will be saying that after a few trips to the washing machine :) :)

Thanks @ozmo. Ordered a few things, we'll see how it goes 😁

Temu is hugely popular in the US. Temu has soared in popularity over the last year.

(Interesting WSJ paywalled article about Temu here here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/american-bargain-hunters-flock-to-a-new-online-platform-forged-in-china-11671851837)

Almost all of the things I've searched are more expensive than AliExpress.

Stuff arrived within 8 days - got quite a few items - most items very good.

Its good to have as an option- will keep them in mind if I need some parts from China again.

    There's a few bits. A shower mat for 88 cents ain't bad.

There's a mention of Fastway and An Post as the courier. If it's Fastway there's no way I'd order anything.

Is there any way to browse their site without logging in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,157 ✭✭✭daheff

its a bizarre website. same products sold at different prices by different vendors.

a lot of it looks like cheap knock off rubbish that wont last a couple of uses.

It says Free Shipping on ALL orders, but at checkout says minimum €10 spend.

'Orders with a total under €10 will not be shipped.' - Go figure

Also, are they are domiciled in Ireland ?

If you reside anywhere other than the US, CA, or the UK, these Terms are between you and Whaleco Technology Limited, an Ireland company. https://www.temu.com/ie/terms-of-use.html

Ye, ordered a few bits and bobs from them via Paypal (express Paypal checkout is handy), will update if and when I receive them.

Ye, according to Google, their parent company PDD Holdings are in 1st Floor, 25 St Stephen's Green.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

I just used the website, not the app. Anyway, minimum purchase was 20 EUR and it took me so long to find things for 20 EUR (in the end I purchased 25 uros, because you get 4 euros free). Curiously I paid using PayPal (otherwise I wouldn't use these type of websites), but it seems that they haven't charged me yet.

Anyway, I'll report back when I get the items.

I was most happy with the following two items - both were 2 or 3 euros (hard to be exact with the discounts that applied)

    https://www.temu.com/goods.html?&goods_id=601099514214816

and a dinky little usb port hub for my laptop that only has one usbport

    https://www.temu.com/goods.html?goods_id=601099515246393

However a set of ceramic tweezers - for soldering - was my most expensive item at 7 euros I think - and it arrived with two screws missing - It kind of worked but

wasnt as it should be - so contacted support with photos and they refunded me immediately. Have to give credit when its due.
