I wonder what domains NK owns. I have a couple of domains, but none intended to deceive anyone into thinking a site of mine would relate to anyone else., but what if I had NKManagement.whateverisavailable and I took some some of the code and jumbled it to my hearts desire, and posted around links etc or sent some spoof emails to relevant bodies with the links. Fortunately I’m just mischievous but not a deceiver.
The reputational damage can't be quantified monetarily. That sticks.
Most of the essential code now stripped away. I was having a bit of fun with playing with the code yesterday… 😁
Maybe NK was nervous RTS would recode the site and put it up on a similar sounding parody domain 😉

This practice as described results in loss of revenue to the state. Let’s suppose the value of the bartered transactions are €200 each way. That’s €200 that should be going through the accounts of each business and on which tax is payable. If the services are vat rated, then VAT must be collected and handed over. Both parties would have costs and inputs for running their businesses,?which they’ll be writing off e.g. dentist will buy anaesthetics and filling materials, have receptionist/ nurse assistant to pay etc. Bartering makes sense for non commercial exchanges of work but surely not when the core business is being bartered. Strong whiff of tax avoidance.

Agree, needs to be a very thorough investigation of these type of arrangements both in RTÉ and any similar used elsewhere in commercial life. If one good thing comes out of this, it will a thorough explanation to the public and establishing if there is any potential loss to Revenue and the state’s coffers. And if there is, prosecutions and tax bills.
Learnt today Tubridy refused to take a pay-cut in early 2009 (even when colleagues such as Pat Kenny and Marian Finucane agreed to salary cuts). I think he eventually took a 10% payout. A sign of things to come.
Effectively Tubridy was sacked today. It's "impossible" for him to return.
They are hoping he resigns - something that we all agree won't happen.

When Tubs or Duffy go on holidays (and both take approx. 3 months off a year) do the advertisers stop advertising on their shows? No. They don’t.
It’s utterly laughable hearing Duffy in particular talk about advertising. Often on his show the only ads are for other RTE shows.

And he did a broadcast from there, with a crew from lyric with him also.
That's another "fee".
Travel and subsistence claimed by one and all as well, no doubt.

So, one 3 hour programme was broadcast from Italy and Whelan and a producer etc were there for a WEEK!

Considering he’s lost 100,000 (that show used to have circa 400,000) he should be taking a decrease. Mr. Duffy would be overpaid if he was on €100,000.
The sad reality of this country is that 75% of that audience would turn up his TV gig, if he had one, again.
Luckily I had given up long before that. I believe I stopped watching after 3 months. His interview technique was awful and he cared more about how he looked in the interview than doing interesting Q&A. It was all so fake too.

I don’t watch football, rugby etc to listen to Richard Sadlier or Rob Kearney…. I want to watch the matches.
nobody tunes on the Sunday game to see Joanne Cantwell.. as excellent at her job and as likeable as she is … the match..
nobody turns on the news to watch David McCullogh or Kate Egan.. they do so for the actual content, of news.
