It's shows the entitled attitude of the "talent", which has been indulged by RTE for decades now. Duffy , Finucane and Gerry Ryan had come out with similar stuff.
There's tons of complaints every time RTE publish their top 10 earners list.
After listening to the entire Joint committee and the 7 RTE board members, I do not have the confidence in these people to manage RTE going forward.
Dee Forbes has been scape- goated and the irish government should sack the entire board.

They're frustrated after working in a culture of the haves and havenots.
Those who do the grunt work are poorly paid, poorly treated, under-resourced and are expected to do extra work when staff leave. RTE has repeatedly told them they don't have money for office supplies, camera crews etc.
They have obviously been unhappy for some time (and weren't deluding themselves that BBC were waiting to snap them up) but were unable to speak out in a culture of prioritising "stars" such as Tubridy.
This was their chance to speak out about years of frustration and unhappiness.
I think Emma O'Kelly has been very impressive, she'd certainly handle an interview better than Ryan "What the fcuk is on my cue cards" Tubridy.
