Today - he has a contract/he is negotiating a contract/contract negotiations suspended/he has and still is being paid since June 1st.
How the hell was he allowed back on air on June 1st without signing a new contract? They had since early March to get one drawn up and up until 2 weeks ago, they still hadn’t got it done!

It's especially odd when the barter account actually cost 10s of thousands, and Renault got a credit note to the value of their "sponsorship" to offset against advertising.
I always thought sponsoring something cost the sponsor money. I must ask anyone who asks me for sponsorship in future how they plan to offset it so it's cost-neutral for me.

55% of funding is from the public...without that it simply wouldn't function, the other money they generate through ads etc, wouldn't be possible without it. The public have a right to know where the money is going and if it is being wasted. The figures RTE produced were wrong year after year.
Tubridy is the tip of the iceberg he doesn't deserve the level of vitriol he is getting from some quarters, and let's be honest likely more to come out on expenses I would say, other sweet deals, back handers etc, paid to other "talent", execs and management companies like NK.
RTE have a history of wasting huge amounts of money the musical disaster, huge revenue settlements, overpaid execs and "talent", all the while underpaying other staff and using zero hours contracts.

The situation you describe is not remotely the same and you must know that. He talked of solodarity pay cuts and percentages. It was a lie.
It wasnt a personal attack. It is a comment on behaviour I consider morally bankrupt. If you would engage in such behaviour I would say the same to you. I am fully entitled to that opinion on such behaviour. If you think thats a personal attack thats on you. You cant have the cake and eat it too.
You should be in no doubt my view is not a fringe one and that I think I speak for many if not most people in seeing RTs conduct in that way.
