Hi,
Heading to Hozier in Malahide Castle tomorrow night.
What's the best option for getting to/from the gig? Will be staying near booterstown dart so is DART the best option?
It is feasible. About 35 to 40 mins walk .
Thanks for the other reply . I thought that just referred to the VIP area .
Look out for the crows
Going to Sting at Malahide Castle tomorrow night. I was thinking of parking along the Coast road and walking up. Is this feasible? or would it be too busy or too far?
From the website: "There is some seating in the VIP and Gold Members area, but you are encouraged to bring camping chairs, blankets etc to settle in for the day in the arena. There is a standing only area in front of the stages where chairs and blankets are not permitted."
There is an area at the front of the stage where they dont allow seats for safety reasons, but anywhere further back its grand.
Can you ? If I can that would be ok . All the other 'open field 'concerts say no fold up seats etc .
You can bring a seat in to the main stage if you dont want to pay for VIP.
Anybody pay extra to get VIP access for Forever Young before ?
It's an extra 55eu on top of 78 for a Friday night ticket and then parking as well .
I just want to see Squeez but seems like a lot of money for what may not be a very long set ..
Think I will need the seating that day unfortunately.
Back of the gold circle is usually a sweet spot, enough room that you can see the stage clearly, but no-one behind you.
Would I be wrong to assume there'd be more room to stand in this area? (i.e. less pushing from behind)?
OK thanks. I was hoping you'd say there's a private bar in this area! 😃
Of course you are not forced to stay there
Gold circle is closest to stage/best views.
It just means you have access to the front pit, if you got there early you could be in the first row of fans.
You don't have to stay in the pit, you can come and go from the general admission area as you please.
I managed to get Gold Circle tickets for Depeche Mode. Not even sure what this is! Can anyone explain what this is exactly? And am I forced to stay here, or can I stand anywhere?
Thanks.
8:30 ish for outdoor shows in the summer as 10:30/10:45 curfew
Heading to Depeche Mode this evening. Might be a bit late to the gig, so just wondering what time they're expected to come on stage?
Nice one, cheers. That would be plenty close enough 🙂
How far you good to walk?
Watermill Road is coned off on one side only. The spots beside the park still seem accessible.
Any closer is barriers and/or cones.
If you are there early theres a few food options in the village - pubs, Taza, Mint Cottage, Mulinos or takeaways.
From the 2 times I went there doesn't seem to be too much parking + they close roads and divert traffic.
Dart is approximately a 15 minute walk I think - haven't used it myself as from Drogheda a local company has buses to the venue and it's extremely handy. Not sure if something similar exists from Dublin.
Will also be in Pulp, BTW. Hope you have a great time!!
Nah there isn’t much options really.
Yeah. Thought that, but wondered if there was parking close enough to save the extra complication after the gig
Darts nearby so park anywhere suitable on dart line and get that to close to venue?
Anyone know of any car parks for the St Anne's Park gigs? (Specifically Pulp)
Looking like we'll have to drive. Happy to pay for something close by, or is it just a case of staying a distance away and looking on street?
Cheers
Anyone advise on average time the main act arrive on stage on a usual Dublin gig. I'm going on my own. Billy no mates. Event is in SoundHouse Dublin from 7.30 to 10.30pm. 9pm sound about right? Don't think there is support act
I have bought a parking ticket for the Point Village car park with my concert ticket in the 3 arena.
says the ticket is from 6.30
Thing is I plan on being up between 12-2pm
Can I just go into the car park at eg midday and then pay the extra when leaving?
i have never used the car park
is the traffic bad to get to the m50 afterwards?
Heard very similar, if it wasn't one of ten gigs at Marlay it might have hit the same "logistics problems" as KISS in Plymouth.
Same as the gig itself
If fairness heard that the def leopard/motley crue concert has not exactly been selling well
Id say Travelmaster may be on its last legs
Had tickets booked for Bruce Springsteen Night 2 and For Def Leppard/Motley Crue in July but both got cancelled due to low demand
Was very full for the Garth Brooks show last September and for a few summer 2022 gigs
