Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

Why would you assume that Newstalk presenters are paid less than RTE?
Had Tub's contract run its course before he left LLS? I can't remember, but if it hadn't, then wouldn't RTE balance the amount he would be due to pay back for unfulfilled contract against what's left of the radio gig.
Anyway, I'm sure he left LLS having completed his agreed number of seasons, the issue just came into my head!
Sash is the worst actress ever
Ok well thats probably half his salary. The radio salary will still have to be paid.
We got there
The Premier League comparison is a good one, up to a point. I think it was in the thoughts of RTE management in setting the rewards for their senior players, with BBC/ITV as the comparison.
However the Irish market is tiny compared to the UK, so they are a League of Ireland club trying to keep up with the Premier League wage bill with a small fraction of the fan base and almost zero potential to monetise their radio/TV talking heads via foreign resale rights. In reality they might lose maybe one or two players a decade to the Prem, at most, which like any LOI club they should accept and foster replacement young talent locally.
Newstalk poaching Pat Kenny within Ireland was very unlikely to be repeated regularly. He was a pretty unique "trophy" talent to offer credibility and build a brand around. They might even at one stage have thought about a second star signing (one for the morning and one for the evening), but they would have had a closed cheque book after that. Two flagpoles is quite sufficient and I cannot see any other radio station in Ireland coming near to matching RTEs fees.
He resigned from the late late..... That's the end of that...
Fair enough. I just don't believe that for one second.
My experience of semi-state CEO contracts is that the entity pays a contribution into a fund. It shows up in the Annual Report and Accounts
I think I'll have an oul drink of Kambucha later to flush out my kidneys.
Great comedy. They've added a token lesbian for pride month. 4 or 5 years ago lesbians made up 33% of the Carrigstown population. Of course Bob loves lesbians.
I think you would want to learn how to read a room.
Ryan is absolutely 100% finished. I've no real opinion on him professionally but if you think the public will accept him back you are greatly mistaken.
Dee Forbes on the other hand... Delighted she is finished, a shyster of the highest degree.
Hope I never have to look at those ridiculous glasses again.
Wheelll why are you doing dis to me Wheeeeeeeel.
comedy gold to be fair.
She should be made answer to her actions.
It has its unintentional comedic qualities!
There's a lad running around to random neighbours asking for a kidney donation for his mother presently.
And they're all drinking Kambucha for some reason and keep repeating the word. Probably some dodgy dealings.
Did Darcy really say he has no agent? He had one in 2019 for sure and it was Kelly imo - Link above - unless Kelly dropped him since
Nobody else could get Ray that sort of wedge
Edit: I see he did say that
Finally something we agree on.
says line… Stares into space … scene ends … delicious.
From Google

It is very likely that the agent knew well NOT to go into details with his client, to ensure that his client has plausible deniability. It wouldn't advantage his client to know the details.
Which makes it even more bizzare as to why and how this happened.
Also these payments predate her appointment as DG as far as I can see.
Thats the first thing that I have agreed with walshb on this whole thread.....
@skimpydoo would you please look into RT’s relationship with these charities? I think Sorolla is hinting at something cos they won’t stop listing them!
Fair City viewers I feel sorry for!
It's the Fair City actors I feel most sorry for..they'll never get a deserved rise or their contracts sorted.
An stop it, your routine is boring now. Nothing worse than an aul fella thinking he's hilarious.
Dee Forbes was an outsider, she came in from Discovery.
It's hard to believe that she personally handled every detail of the making a bank transfer to a UK bank herself. There MUST have been other staff involved in making this happen.
Pay the cnut off via the barter. Ensuring he gets hit with huge fees.
The amount of statements being fed out and we are still none the wiser.....
You just know the shìt is going to hit the fan soon....
No one can explain why Tubridy got 120k more between 2017-19....
Cowardly Dee Forbes is being thrown under the bus by RTE, while she has attempted to blame others within RTE in her pathetic statement yesterday......
And poor Ryan Tubridy hiding out in his D4 house, crying into his books.....the thoughts of listening to him in a few months going on about how his mental health suffered during this "darkest period of my life" is already making me nauseous.....
Until he comes out publicly to apologize for trousering 100s a 1000s taxpayers money that he didn’t earn, and definitely didn’t need (during a pandemic where many folks were losing their jobs and many businesses suffering terrible financial loss), all the while on our tv screens faking that he gave a sh1t, I think it’s safe to assume that most of the public will be cold for him.
At a guess, the assumption would have been based on the average ages of cars on Irish roads, rather than any assumption about changing cars in any particular period.
