The very fact she & RT have chosen to try weasel out of it tells me whatever was done was majorly corrupt. I had thought RT’s involvement in hiding the whole thing to be minor but I think it was more likely both their ideas or something like that.

Wouldn't that be indentured servitude? I don't think you can force someone to work who isn't willing. You can and should stop paying them but you cant literally force someone to work.

She was employed to make these decisions, this is her job. She should explain herself. If as you say it is mental health issues, she should take a break and when ready should come before the Oirechtas, if it is a physical illness, hopefully it is not serious, and hopefully she will recover she can go to the oirechtas, however if it is a case that she will not go to the Oireachtas she should say that.
This is the problem isn't it? All these people like Dee Forbes and others all like to get the big pay packets but want none of the accountability or responsibility. It's why I think it should be written into every single contract for folks in positions like Dee Forbes, Secrectary Generals, heads of government departments that they could be asked to attend an Oireacthas committee up to 6 months after they leave and that would be extended if they pulled the sick note out as well.

The likes of dee forbes getting paid massive amounts is because they are meant to have the skills to work under pressure and guide the company through difficult periods. Clearly shes unqualified so if shes crying off sick. She is typical of a small minority in the corporate world who can talk the talk getting promotions but is solid useless at the back of it all. Every large organisation has 1 or 2 of them

The b****rd got secret pay on top of his over-generous existing income. Saw on the internet he got something like €90,000 from Renault as well for private appearances with them / to their dealers and hangers on. Plus they get special deals for plugging things on their radio shows....remember Gerry Ryan always plugging Dromoland castle - no surprise he got weekends away there for his family.
We're the bigger fools to have slaved all week, paid the licence fees and could not afford to go out at the weekend and had to listen to his s****, when he was coining it.
If I had a cup of something I would throw it at the lot of them in RTE.
I can't see him coming back from this. Maybe if he had handled it differently, it would have been doable. Maybe.
I hope all his millions are worth it to him.
