Method of madness gin 35€ in SW
Dunnes:
Rye River Nocturne Stout 6.0% €2.50 (mup 2.37)
Tesco:
Kronenbourg Blanc wheatbeer 12 x 330ml 5.0% €16.00 (mup 15.64)
re-launched here recently, exclusive to Tesco i think
Original 8.6% Blond Beer €3.00 (mup 3.40).
I assume this is awful stuff but under mup so maybe a deal to someone..
It's... okay.
The Karpackie 9% stuff is actually decent! and was close to MUP in Molloys last I looked.
At MUP there is still a very substantial profit margin in these beers, don't forget.
I see Slane mentioned a lot, to me its terrible stuff. A jameson at 22 much better value. A black barrel at 30e is an absolute steal.
black barrell is an absolute steal at 30..
crested at 25 is far superior than Slane IMO
All the usual Diageo beers are MUP in Lidl at the moment.
Aldi
Heineken 10 x 500ml cans
€18
Picked up 12 bottles of coors (that's a thing now) for €17 in carry out off license. Supervalu had them at €20. Dunnes and tesco charging €14 for 6.
I posted before about a bottle of Green spot and Redbreast for €100.
The offer is still available in the Carry Out off license on the Bandon Road.
A lot here tried to get that including myself, look at post #5621 for the reply from Carry Out when I got in touch about. So it must be just that one doing it.
I couldn't resist yesterday, it's too good a deal to pass up.
12x Moretti 4.6% €14.50 (mup €14.39)
12x Cobra 4.5% €14.50 (mup 14.08)
12x Corona 4.5% €14.50 (mup 14.08)
Supervalu:
Jameson Caskmates Stout/IPA, Crested €25 (mup 22.12)
Powers Gold €23.00 (mup 22.12)
Powers Three Swallow €30 (mup €22,12)
Powers Johns Lane was reduced to 50 from 70 over the weekend in Dunnes
one of the top whiskeys out there..Missed that offer
Still on for Johns Lane in Dunnes - got last one in my local Dunnes this evening. Website still lists it at 50 too
12x Miller 4.7% €15.00 (mup €14.70) *clubcard
12x Madri 4.6% €14.50 (mup €14.39)
12x Staropramen 5.0% €16.00 (mup €15.64)
From tomorrow Tesco have for €16 clubcard price:
Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc Beer 12 X 330Ml bottles
I don't drink it myself but I have vague memories of someone asking on Boards about where to find it.
Brown Bear IPA 500ml bottle
€1.99
(5% brewed in Dundalk)
Tried the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc and thought it was awful. I usually like a Weiss beer but the Kronenbourg was very cheap tasting
Aldi do some nice IPAs that are priced pretty much spot on minimum unit price.
Brown Bear 5.0% 1.99
Roadworks IPA 6.3% 2.49
Brown Bear Double 7.5% 2.96
And they're normal prices, not these stupid on & off deals that all the other stores are doing.
I thought it tasted more like a Radler than a regular beer, though it is 5%. Nice on a sunny day, but I wouldn't drink a load of them.
I picked up the last bottle of Powers Johns Lane from Dunnes at the Bandon roundabout in Cork.
Dunnes
Short dated on trooper beer eu. Shipping is €13 per slab for one to three slabs but four slabs is same as three at €39.
Dunnes Childers Road Limerick - Jameson Single Pot still reduced from 60 to 50, label only they were all gone. hopefully back again but might be availalbe in other stores
last Friday, i saw a label in dunnes portlaoise for a more expensive Red Breast but can't rem the label name - reduced from 110 to 95. again, none left on shelf unfortunately
Trooper Ale (not the Stout) was €19.00 for a slab a few weeks ago. Got one delivered to the house no problem for €32 ... stick that up your MUP. I've tried the Fear Of The Dark stout but found it a bit sweet for my liking.
Something you have to illegally import is not a booze deal. Otherwise we'd be here all week - booze is cheaper pretty much everywhere in the world.
if a deal isn’t for you scroll past, no one has to buy anything that’s posted in this forum.
My local Aldi in Tipp had bottles of The Trooper ale last week on special to "co-incide with the Dublin show" which I found very strange!! Never have I seen that stuff in ANY Aldi before, let alone the back arse of Tipp....
Where are these sold? (sorry I cant find a reference to it in earlier posts?)
