not too bad for 2mil
If the walls could talk in this house. Was owned by Micky Green.

Pitchfordstown, Kilcock, Co. Kildare is for sale on Daft.ie
the house was sold by CAB 20 years ago.
i thought this paragraph in the daft ad was appropriate
Set just off Kilcock Town Centre, approached through two entrances which are monitored and have electric gates, to sweeping tarmacadam driveways. The grounds are protected with security and provide a haven of private, landscaped recreational space.
Its exactly the type of completely over the top, tasteless decor you would expect from a gangster! 🤣😂Its not a typical bungalow at all is it.
Its not to my taste but it does appear to be a well maintained house. No way would I buy it though - there could still be a threat of some thugs dropping by still thinking he lives there.
It does look as though it was decorated by a gangster, but if it was sold 20 years ago he can hardly be held responsible for its current appearance. It is naff beyond belief, if someone had set out to make it as unappealing as possible they could not have done any better.
He died 3 years ago and it was a long long time since he owned.
I know the girl who was his grand kids nanny and worked there, she told
me a lot of the interior decor is as he had it.
A lot of it is how he had it when he owned it. The massive desk in the office is mental.
Way too big for the room.
Is it 4m or 2m. On Myhome, you have 3 ads with 2 of them listing at 4m.
Derelict stone cottage and outbuilding on Sligo €80,000.
I’m sure a few people follow Daniel on YouTube, he’s done fantastic work on the gardens here. Pity to see him leaving it so soon.

Fair play to him - great website.
I always wonder why, when something is clearly loved the owner sells up.
His last youtube video offers an explanation.
TLDR: Basically moving to allow his partner to be able to closer to a city for work opportunities.
Wow that's some sacrifice. I hope it works out for them.
Where the fock do you even go about sourcing horse-themed wallpaper and curtains 🤣
The style is very nomadic.
Even our wheeled brethren would think some of that decor is a bit over the top
I'd say you'd have a mare of a time trying to do it.
Sold for €2 million!
1.4 times listed price I was in the ball park
Bit of a fixer upper , summer chalet lol, but you are paying for the view
Different strokes for different folks but I wouldn't consider that a good view. Looking out at the sea over the backs of houses and other buildings. Nah, not worth 1/4 of a mil for a 1/10th of an acre site there.
Even in that situation 250k is a lot for a summer chalet site. Mains water and electricity but what about sewers? Its only on 1/10 of an acre so there must be some sort of community sewage system, funny its not mentioned. And the access is right on a corner, good luck with getting that formalised as an entrance.
Or you could just stay in the local hotel or B&B 2500 times for the same amount of money.
People really went mad during covid with shitholes in Ireland.
They could try something like this? 😁
That 'chalet' is described as needing complete reconstruction (who'd have guessed?) and the electricity is currently disconnected.
It's a quarter of a mill for one tenth of an acre, plus planning, demolition and rebuilding costs.
To be fair, give that 'chalet' another winter beside the sea and it should demolish itself 😁
It's a mad looking yolk, straight out of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Would you even get a mortgage for that site? Presume you’d need to be a cash buyer.
150k would buy a palatial motor home and the remaining 100k would buy a hell of a lot of diesel to tour the world in.
I mean yeah. You could spend the rest of your life going on very nice long holidays anywhere in the world every year for a quarter of a million quid.
Why someone would spend that on a mud hut in Cork is beyond me.
I actually know that area very well and used to spend holidays there many many years ago. People living/owning properties in the area have lost the run of themselves a bit since Covid made sea swimming as popular as it is. There's not a hope in hell that this is worth anywhere near the price they are asking.

"Please be aware this property is being sold by family members as part of a relatives estate. It was the deceased's wishes to be buried in the garden as he was born and died in the house. This wish has been carried out and the property will be sold as is."
This wouldn't bother me really but I would wonder about how often family would be visiting my garden to pay their respects. Might affect resale value too...
