I’m still at The Strand. There’s no moving me.
i taught you were still under ground blowing up balloons with babs and pennywise ,
great version of dan breen that , should be your county song , i doubt the so called RealDanbreen is in the strand with you , apparently the limerick lads are waiting for him , and apparently in Al Pachino fassion too.....
What's going on there? Someone is becoming a father at 83? (Actor Al Pacino and girlfriend Noor Alfallah have welcomed a baby boy, a representative for Pacino told CNN. Pacino, 83, and Alfallah, 29, a film producer, named their child Roman Pacino.)
nothing wrong with becoming a father at 83 , i would love to know what doctor prescribed him his pep pills to get out of bed let alone bull a 29 year old and and become a father , and keep her going at the same time
i doubt realdanbreen has any of these qualities, he might have a 29 year old girlfriend , he probably is not 83 but i imagine his GP has sedated him enough to not cross the limerick border this weekend and watch the match from an almost numb like position in harneys in Ballyclerahan . minnella breen he should be called in fairness 😂
Any of ye concerned about Cahill and Bevans ability to manage a busy schedule, training loads etc. 2nd year in a row a team under their stewardship have dropped off performance wise as the championship progressed.
Yes would be concerned that we had 2 full team malfunctions in 3 games, thats a sign of lethargy throughout the team, he is also slow to make changes, we don't seem to have any plan b, constantly conceding puckouts and letting opposition march up to their half backline to pop ball in front of the likes of whelan is crazy.
RDB probably knows more and certainly has done more, about just about everything than most of the muppets posting here. That includes women, hurling, horse racing, more women, life, politics, just everything really. Ye should be down on ye're knees thanking the legendary REALDANBREEN for posting here!
Hope u had more success with the horses and women than u had here predicting results
Its an interesting one and was certainly the first thing that entered my mind in my post game analysis, but having reflected on it I'm not sure it's as simple as that, there are a number of factors that could just as easily be blamed.
Regarding Tipp, what is interesting is that in the two games they flopped in they actually finished both games stronger than they started which doesn't suggest fatigue, certainly not physical anyway. We can't ignore the complete lack of fitness and conditioning of the squad he took over, so yes he probably had to do more in winter than was preferable. Injuries really didn't help as well, Bonner to be fair suffered a similar faith, is there something in this or is it simply bad luck?
The Waterford one is even more head scratching, but to be honest I think he lost the dressing room in Waterford, not the first to and certainly not the last. Austin Gleeson got sent off and Liam was caught rotten on camera saying exactly what he thought of him, that's not easily brushed off and especially not in a fractious and volatile dressing room like the Waterford one.
In short next year will tell a lot about Liam and Mickeys methods and approach, two years with so many mitigating factors seems a small sample size, three years would be harder to defend. I think some people have actually already forgotten how bad we were before the boys, and they became victims of raising expectations by their own good work.
Plenty of Claremen are knowledgeable about hurling, nothing to do with place of birth.
Please explain how Clare for example are more physical or conditioned than Tipp.
Maher, Breen, Kennedy, McCormack, Tynan, Callanan all beasts.
Barrett, Connolly, McGrath, Forde, O'Meara hardly any shrinking violets either.
That leaves Keohe and Morris, not exactly monsters but hardly a million miles physically from Rodgers and O'Donnell?
The Club
John and Pauric Campion and Seamus Callanan played a challenge game for Drom & Inch v Mount Sion tonight.
Eoin Kelly played in goals for Mullinahone yesterday. The Robins came through by a goal.
While I'm at it, The South Board are a joke. Club championship game yesterday - no promotion. Why are they running it off so quick?
Clare seniors are a lot more athletic than tipp . As for tipp finishing losing games stronger , that's how it is in most games in most sports. Hurling tactics are gone bizarre, when you allow the opposing keeper give a 50 yards pass to an unmarked player and let him drop the ball into your danger area . Who'd have thought this would become the norm in tipp Hurling. Are we not good enough to win their long puckouts . Better the keeper drop it on your 40 than a half back drop it in the 14 .
RIP Fiona Phelan. A great Roscrea woman.
Wortha listen
What in the name of jaysus...
Mental!!
Big win for Loughmore over Drom today... only 8 McGraths on the Loughmore team.
Legit goal disallowed:
Square ball every day of the week.
....
Due to the bereavement of Johnnie Flynn, this weekends South Senior Final is postponed. Condolences to the Flynn family and the Carrick Swan Club.
Darragh Egan gone from Wexford. I see he is still hurling away with the club in goals. He won't be stuck for something to do.
Selector with the Senior team and goalkeeper with the Intermediates. School principal with three young kids of his own, definitely wont be idle!
Someone has been watching a bit of Wimbledon
Wonder what his working contribution is like in the school given all these hurling gigs
Same as John Kiely I would have thought!
He'd be off more than he'd be working so it's handy job and allows him to go for that second or third job.
Was in Dolla last night, very dangerous hit on Jake Morris. Another head high hit. Could be a broken jaw.
Kilkenny @11/4 is great odds
Yeah, you've said so, in several threads.
Can't see beyond Limerick though.
