Cork V Derry
Kerry V Tyrone
Mayo V Dublin
Armagh V Monaghan
Confirmed on Radio 1 that repeat pairings are to be avoided if possible for the Semis. So if Mayo and Kerry won, we'd have to play Armagh/Monaghan if we beat Derry.
In that case wouldn’t Mayo V Kerry be a repeat pairing too though?
Tough draw but a great chance to just have a go. Nothing to lose.
Yes, you're right, didn't think of that. Either way, the draw will be engineered to avoid repeat pairings if possible.
No easy draw from here on but I believe Cork will give it a go and who knows after that.
We will be on Sunday, before the Dublin game.
1:45pm on Sunday. Ref is Joe McQuillan from Cavan.
Might head up to it on the bus, make a day of it.

The Tony Davis sending off was harsh i think. We scored two great goals as well. Derrys goal was very soft imo. Still though it was the only all Ireland Derry have ever won, so i can't begrudge them too much.
Meh that Cork team got to four all Ireland finals in a row and won two of them. We could have took Galway for granted, but we made no mistake in the replay in 1987. If Galway showed a modicum of composure they would have won an all Ireland in 1983 as well. Galway have lost a hell of a lot of all Ireland finals in both codes over the years imo.
Derry will be a tough, but it's still a winnable game for us.
True, it wasn't a bad Cork side at all. But 87 was the start of their run, they hadn't as yet reached their peak. Had Galway won, they would have been playing a Meath side reaching their first final in 20 years or so, and a county they have a good record against. Real sliding doors moment for Galway then.
I think Meath would have won anyway. They were too strong for us in 1987. Galway fell away after that, and didn't come out of connacht again until 1995. Although in that replay i think Galway lost a player to injury, but they were already out of subs so he had to come off with no replacement!
Galway do have more football all Irelands than Cork. They beat Cork in the 1956 all Ireland final, although Billy O'Neill a Cork native was on that Galway team! Of course we have a Galway man in Kevin Walsh training the football team at the moment as well.
I want us to play Derry and go all out for a win. We have to beat them if we want to go further in the competition. If Tyrone beat Kerry and Mayo beat Dublin, it be some open semi finals.
All buses and trains sold out already - Aircoach and GoBus all full. The bandwagon is well and truly underway 🤣
Tickets got, driving up with 3 or 4 mates, really looking forward to it. I hope they put in a performance, 3 weeks in a row will either work for them - competitive edge, or against them, tiredness and a flat performance.
A lot of people do. Dr. Con Murphy was once asked if he ever saved a life on a football field. He replied that he did, he stopped Billy Morgan getting at Sugrue that day!
A Kerry man refereeing an all Ireland final involving Cork. It should never have happened!
Cork will wear their white kit v Derry after losing the coin toss to Derry
Wearing White in Croker has usually had good memories for the footballers. 73 and 2010
Ticket master only selling Nally Terrace tickets & no Juvenile tickets !
Hopefully tomorrow SuperValu have something.
think supervalu can only access the same as what you can at home. worth trying your club?
yes was thinking the same, will see what I can find through either route.
Amazing how they never did anything like that in 1993 when they played in the all Ireland final. I know the jerseys were different but still a possible colour clash ?
We lost to Down in 1994 wearing White
Bought the away jersey in 2010 to go to the final in and still have it. Cork really stumbled over the line that day. Will have to wear it again this weekend.
Really looking forward to this one. It’s been a while since the footballers have had a proper knockout game in Croker in the later stages.
Biggest underdogs of the 4 games on Paddypower at the moment (+3 on the handicap) and it’s no harm.
Didn't even think about that as the 93 final, there was no change. I suppose Derry kinda prefer their predominantly red kit this year
From what i remember of that game, i thought we dominated the second half, but seized up a bit in the last ten minutes with the finishing line in sight. We missed a lot of chances in the first half as well. I actually thought that team reached it's peak in 2012, but we ran into Donegal and Jim McGuinness and his system in the semi final, and we just didn't have the answers to crack it sadly. I'm very confident that if Derry are going to beat us, then we will make them work for it at the very least.
Managed to secure train tickets on the newly added 7:45 service. Anyone know what the story is with match tickets? None on ticketmaster
A few appear every now and then on the website, but have failed to grab them and pay successfully, so far. Possibly the tickets being released very slowly to give impression of being sold out, to shift the seats in poor locations, on the site.
Was guessing that. Cheers.
