I know. 50 - 52k I depending how good you are at negotiating. I wouldn't say it'll be hanging around too long.
10 year old
What that proves is how irrelevant Ireland actually is to tractor manufacturers!
That's right ya
Sounds like someone compared kubotas profit in Japanese yen to John Deeres turnover in usd (140 jpy to 1 usd)
Was driving the loader out of a field gate when I heard a banging. I said to myself “that sounds expensive”
turns out I was right the splines had worn of the drive shaft to the drop box on the rear axle. Crown and pinion and inside of drop box banjaxed.
just got the call about the parts. 3.5k for parts alone 😔
Yikes, what loader?
Kramer 880
That wouldn’t be that old of a yoke
Will it work if I cut a hole out of the square plate and sit gearbox ontop
Very worn
Would it be OK if that little rim is sitting on the plate
Is there a UJ meeting the gearbox or a rubber coupler? What thickness is the plate
It might be very hard on rubber couplers
Ya there is a rubber coupling, plate thick enough. I can measure in the morning. If I cut a hole in the plate and gearbox into.it.will it work
why not cut out old piece fully and weld in new plate in its place? Although putting new plate on top of old is only adding a couple of mm - should work anyway
Just looked again at picture Is new plate to go under worn plate and gearbox on top of worn plate? That would work but you would have to weld new plate to keep it from moving around
Are you happy with your Malone mower? It would be more heavy duty frame than the vicon type mowers…
Ya, happy out. Good price too.
Hi Kev
The stepped ring on the gearbox fits tightly in the mounting plate. It locates the box and takes the torsion off the bolts. You will find it hard to keep the bolts tight without it.
I was thinking that perhaps I should put plate underneath then!
I would think you would have to cut it out and weld in the new piece.2 reasons .things never run smooth out of line and the bolts won't have a clean seat if you let the old piece there
Wylie might be fine for rushes but I have 8ft trailed and knocks thistles rather than cutting them
What is the name of the adjustable wrench with the sliding notches that you squeeze by hand to tighten/loosen. They are sorta like a large vice grips but have a bigger grip, iykwim.
Water pump pliers
Put a bit of welding on it, hopefully it will hold

Any idea where I'd get shaft locking pins like the link above in 50 x 11 or 50 x 12 ?
QTP in mullingar
Mills hydraulics in mullingar
