Yeah, we're not going to shoot from range in the second half. When have we ever seen Mayo do that? They're not able to.
The first couple of shots are key - if they go over, confidence will be up and we might kick but if they go wide, it could be one of those days
100%. That's as bad a half of football as I've seen from a Mayo team in a while. Awful on the breaks and no strong fielder to catch a ball in the middle. Big issues there.
Confidence around shooting looks completely drained.
Second half should be a different game. Surely the wind will allow mayo to kick over any defensive tactics.
It’s easy to say we can shoot from range in the second half with the breeze, but that’s not much use if we can’t even hit the target from close range.

out go Matty, Conor L, Padraig O’H and James Carr….
A lot of system and personnel problems all over the pitch imo. Plus psychologically last week was a big setback.
On the subject of goals - we've missed a lot in our games so far, 2 early chances against roscommon, 3-4 against kerry and at least one in each of the last two games. We might not get many chances today so we'd need to take anything that comes
Avoid in front of the Galway goal. Heard rumours there might be a bus or two parked there today.
Huge pressure on both teams today, so it depends on who handles it better ..
This day last week both teams thought they'd be kicking back watching some football on the TV today, so whoever is knocked out at 5pm their season will deemed a failure given the great position they had previously put themselves in.

Not massively confident today tbh, I find it hard to see us winning. Big improvements needed all over the pitch and a bit of luck too.
