Ok it's time for a thread. The BBC Glasto twitter account is hinting at Elton John it would appear. Not sure if he'd play the legends slot or what but we have something at last!
Axel Rose doesn’t look like he’s singing, but then it sounds absolutely terrible so he must be singing…
And Slash being quite pudgy just looks odd…
Sound quality for GnR is shite. Wonder is it as bad there or just a broadcast issue
Big Oasis fan here but I think you’ll find they look like him.
Think it's just because they're shite
Leftfield : Here we go
Rose's mic was low for the first song, seems to be resolved now
GnR are in their 60's and more life in them than AM last night.
Sound shite but at least they show some passion
Someone's using a ferocious amount of slide guitar at GnR. Don't recall this ever being their sound??
Loving the 90s naffness and debauchery. Bringing me back to good times here! I remember the Trinity Ball 1991 there was a rumour going around Dublin that Guns 'n Roses were playing and the stuck up ruggers all fell for it
The sound of Slash on the green guitar at the start of this song was class.
Leftfield are magic
Didn't realise axl was in his 60s now. Unfortunately he sounds like it though. To be fair it's a very difficult style of singing to keep up with when you get to that age.
Nice velet revolver
Slash and Duff are on fire.
Would have been super to be at that. As a tele event got a bit boring tbh
slash is a beast!
Roses are still class , pure rock and energy . Fun stuff
Axel probably needs a bit of auto-tune help at this stage of his career.
GNR look and sound every one of their 60 odd years! But defo not phoning it in, just balls out with whatever they have left.
Goosebumps there for WttJ intro.
Axels mic needs turning up
The only word that is coming through Axl's mic is 'Jungle'
Slash is still the absolute king. The tones out if those Les Pauls is absolutely glorious stuff.
Definitely issues there on Welcome to the Jungle. Pleasantly surprised by his voice so far so a tech issue I reckon rather than a Diana Ross “turn her down and let the backing singers take over” job.
It's actually beautiful!
Leftfield churning out their normal dross...
They turned the mic up.......
Its been few yrs since i saw them play.
Absolutely loving GnR here. With the extra years on them and the bluesy edge to the numbers there's something very "Wild Bunch" about this performance.
It's fking marvellous.
Arctic monkeys love mr brownstone id say
Leftfield are fcuking exceptional.
I have a massive subwoofer under my tv and it’s pretty much full on heavy during Release the Pressure.
