It just shows how chaotic and misgoverned is Russia. Putin isn’t some master strategist, he is just a naughty boy.
unlucky for those helicopters pilots getting blasted out of the sky for a feint
I knew it was too good to be true, this is all very underwhelming.
Wouldnt surprise me if Putin is gone .. .
Theres no way Wagner would just go quietly , so whats Prigozhin gotten out of all this?
And has a 24 hour change in priorities helped ukraine much ..
Could be just a feint.
..
So are we back to the thinking of 24hrs ago to all this being some sort of ruse or charade. Russian authorities rolling over or flipping sides, all some bluff or pre arranged ploy to give Putin a way out. Very odd for them to get so close to Moscow for them to camp out for the night.
The edifice is swaying in the wind.
Rumours of Putin’s downfall have been greatly exaggerated, yet again.
?????
Yeah, you would have to wonder what was he promised to call a halt to this . Also he seems to be clever enough to know no deal with Putin could be trusted anyway. I find it hard to believe they will all just shake hands and forget about everything that has just happened.
Well find me someone in here who knows more than nothing right now, in reality. We're all at the mercy of social media and other media. It's a regurgitation of other people's work.
What's this?
The FSB and Armed forces completely abandoned Putin today. There's no way he will continue. He has cut a deal.
This is gonna be a disappointing end to the day if this is the end of it
I see the minimalists have arrived.
"Bit of a challenge"?
It's unprecedented. He made it from Rostov to within 200km of Moscow in 24 hours. The Russian military was in absolute chaos. The Russian leadership (and elite) fled Moscow. He's shown how fragile the whole apparatus is over there.
Dunno what happens next, but they just negotiated with "the terrorist" to stop, because they couldn't stop him. There's going to have be a huge military purge in Russia after this and Putin has never looked this weak.
Damm… well that is very underwhelming
maybe less?
I'm not sure why he'd turn back. Its very hard to believe he'll walk this one off after Putin came out against him publicly promising retribution.
All very odd.
You know as little as everyone else here.
ftfy:
The amount of echoey calls on SKY News is too damn high.
Well I'm not speaking to my family, is there anything else going on?
I think the situation today has been far more sober than much of the Twitter commentary as usual. It looks like there was a bit of a challenge to Russia's military leadershipnbut that's about it.
Whatever it was appears finished now.
Prigozhin says it's over- For Now
"They were going to dismantle PMC Wagner. We came out on 23 June to the March of Justice. In a day, we walked to nearly 200km away from Moscow. In this time, we did not spill a single drop of blood of our fighters. Now, the moment has come when blood may spill. That’s why, understanding the responsibility for spilling Russian blood on one of the sides, we are turning back our convoys and going back to field camps according to the plan."
@Rawr "But if that happens, where will Putin be? Dead? Making a stand in a bunker somewhere, or pulling a Gaddafi and setting up a new capital somewhere else?"
He was last seen disguised as a lumberjack, trying to cross a marsh near the Chinese border. Wolves attacked him and ate his lunch...will keep you informed...
Does it make sense that Prigozhin would interrupt a war in Ukraine to settle a personal beef only to go back to the war again after Ukraine has a reprieve?
Is he a true believer in the might of Russia, or in it for the money?
Called it (sort of) earlier, but was more expecting it from people who believe their conspiricy theorists, sorry presenters.
Its on RT as well.
And he's a Russian, so what deal is he going to agree to that he doesn't end up breaking?
