Sorry my post was not clear enough. I meant pro russian posters said the west would receive boomerangs from all the sanctions when it turns out, it is actually Russia getting the boomerang from using and financing Wagner
If Prigozhin is saying the invasion of Ukraine was based on a lie, then that would, traditionally, sound like he's saying that the invasion is unjustified and not worth pursuing. That is unless he were to turn around and go, "...but here's the real reason to invade Ukraine.".
Reports that Wagner are now in Lipetsk Oblast (Horse-Kolodezsky). Lipetsk has a very large airfield. I had a look on Google Maps and it had over 100 fighter jets. Obviously it will be different today but it it is clearly important.
They've travelled 600km overnight and today and received such little resistance. They are more than half way from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow now.
Is it starting to look like the Russian Armed forces have completed downed tools?

There is little obvious downside to the west here unless control protocols for nuclear weapons are lost. I don't see that happening.
Putin being deposed and Ukraine regaining all of its sovereign territory through a chaotic failure of command and control of Russian forces in theatre, are the two most likely developments and they would definitely go on the credit side of the ledger.

Wagner is a mercenary outfit so the path of least resistance now is to turn on Putin rather than continue losing a proxy war against NATO in Ukraine. If they continue to fight in Ukraine they risk being held to account for war crimes, but if they turn on Putin they might actually hit the jackpot of becoming a subcontractor to control Russia on behalf of the west.

Lol. This is certainly a Gremlin operation. Putin's speech was very artificial. He did not say 'We will crush them' he said they will do everything to 'resist' them. That means they are on the 'defensive'. And that means they will have to pull troops from Ukraine. And that means they get out without being defeated. And that means the Russians economy will be saved and the war will end. And that means they can sell gas to Europe again. lol.

Quite true, the absolute barbarity the russians have shown ukranian citizens. heres hoping this presents an opportunity to make gains with their counter offensive in southern ukraine
He may well need to keep his own troops in Moscow for his own safety after a coup. Plenty will be waiting in the long grass to see if they can take out a weakened winner. Then he will also need to ensure the loyalty of the military to ensure no one repeats his own trick which could lead to Stalin like purges.
After all that he would struggle to keep up a war. However if he is allowed to build up a military he is a psycho and could be an issue in a few years.
