If someone strong took charge and said Russia was going to join the EU the Russian public would get behind it. They are completely disengaged from politics. Just someone take charge anyone. The czar, communists, drunk alcoholic, gangsters , anyone.
Wow, went to bed last night fearing that this was all some sort of elaborate hoax.
But seeing now what is happening in Russia is just glorious.
No matter what happens from now on this can only benefit Ukraine. I am just hoping that this doesn't all end to quickly, hopefully the wagnerites have just enough support to make this last.
I think the US will be able to advise the Ukranians enough on whether they should now seize this opportunity to go full out or not, but they may need to take this opportunity now before things settle down again IMO.
