That's fairly poor alright, collecting next week. Panel gaps are concerning, what panels specifically? Struggle to understand how one of the most modern robotised factories can churn out cars with panel gaps. These cars aren't hand built anymore.
Does anyone know if you can buy the portable charger (the one that used to be included) from Tesla at the collection point?
The granny charger and public charging cable are still included in Ireland.
I wonder if people are actually seeing panel gaps or just natural gaps, will they bring it in for a service only to find the problems weren't actually there in the first place
well, i compared it to other cars next to it and it was very clear on tail lights for example. I checked with the tesla guys over there and they can observe it as well.
are you sure they are included ? i didn't spot anything in the order.
Certain that current orders should come with the granny charger , public charge cable , first aid kit with triangle and floor mats. Deliveries from during the week have all been same to my knowledge.
Does anybody know how much time would it take to get the delivery date? considering below items being done

Just got SEAI form, seemed too straight forward just asked about home charger, home ownership, Meter number etc. Is this this only form for SEAI grant or should there have been more sent/will be sent. Thanks

I collected my car in March and charged at Ionity Kill alongside another Tesla pick up owner. I had the Ionity app installed but couldn't get the charge to start. Swiping debit card didn't work either. Same experience for the other person. What worked was scanning the QR code on the charger and paying online from there

I noticed that scheduling link https://www.tesla.com/en_IE/schedule/RN<ORDER NUMBER> works even when you have a scheduled delivery time - I guess useful if someone wants to change it even last minute.

I got mine done in Flawless Detailing in Finglas, Dublin 11 but that might be a bit too out of the way.
Car wash detail on the Long Mile Road would be highly recommended and not too far from you. They specialise in Gyeon Products which are top notch.

I think you can just rock up for the standard wash but if you want that little Bit more then best to book online.
There is an additional form "Customer Completion Form" that you need to complete but this is send after you take delivery, basically confirming that you have paid in full and taken delivery.
Actually yes would you believe it was painless with Zurich also in the end, despite me being warned by the first girl I spoke to there who had teed me up for an awful shock when I mentioned I was going to request to transfer over to a M3 soon. Once they had the actual reg then they allowed transfer of the policy over with no extra fee.
People have commented on here about dirty cars and panel gaps at collection.
I understand Tesla may give you a credit to get it valeted if it is really bad.
But what about the panel gap? How wide does a gap have to be to be considered an issue and how does Tesla fix it? In the service station in Sandyford?
Can somebody please share the collection day checklist? I thought I had it saved on my pc but I cannot find the file. All I can find is the youtube video link!

So I finally collected my M3 RWD on Monday. Arrived in Dublin from Canada and then collected in Baldonnel on my way home to Clare, so the jet lag is real 😁
Alas, here I am a few days later to give an update!
I've flagged four issues for service upon collection.
Service appointment in Shannon on July 3rd so that'll give you an idea of timelines - looks to be approx. two weeks from request.
Other than that, what a great machine. Now that they are within affordable ranges for the wider population, it really challenges our thinking on ICE vs. EV. Knowing what I do now and what I've experienced these last few days, I only wish they had become more affordable sooner.
Just to note for Ionity Kill and those travelling M7 - I had the app downloaded in advance and the account set up. Was no hassle at all, plugging in and going ahead via the app. Only came with 17% charge so a quick shot at Ionity before the SCs at Birdhill!
