Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
I wonder is there any hope of Metallica playing in Ireland next year?
None, they have already announced all the dates for 2023/2024 world tour with the in the round and two shows in every venue on consecutive nights set up.
No chance of Metallica. None of the shows in Europe anyway have sold out apart from Download, maybe a double BST show after the second festival date has finalised tonight something they can drum up as a special event as that was the only reason more shows would be announced according to the press release of the tour going into '24...but I suppose that covers the likes of that Power Trip one off date that was announced after.
They said they wouldn't be adding any dates I think
Yup head on a holiday to Munich or something not that far away cheaper hotels than a hotel in the Dubland.
Matt Rife will be coming to Dublins 3Olympia Theatre on September 28 2024 as part of his ProbleMATTic World Tour which includes shows across North America, Australia and Europe.
The comedian became a viral sensation with his comedic skits and stand ups comedy clips gaining him a whopping 14.3 million followers on TikTok.
He has been selling out comedy clubs and theatres across the US and has now decided to take the leap across the pond as his fanbase continues to grow.

Apparently Taylor Swift is announcing Europe dates this week. Some France dates are leaking
if it’s May - July in europe wouldn’t be surprised if we are skipped over. GAA use of Croker and fact MCD lost millions on her last shows here
RDS and Aviva could be options
Two nights in the Aviva. Betcha.
My $0.02...
She's a very different prospect now. She was touring a relatively lacklustre album the last time and it was a serious case of over-reaching by doing two shows. This tour is a career spanning set with a production that's getting unanimous praise from all quarters. It's a much safer booking.
Well the France dates are apparently May 9th and 10th with the 11th also booked.
If its a 'Stadium Tour' it prob end up been in Marlay Park
RDS too small for her. Only holds 38,000
It’s a much more expensive tour that is doing at least 2 nights in every stop.
could very easily be €100 -€400 a ticket in europe for her shows.
no matter what it needs a sure thing for 2 nights so that’s either 160k tickets if croke park or 100k if in aviva.
That’s the thing, she won’t come unless she books 2 nights. Seems like that is what happened last tour. Maybe April like Ed did at Croke?
It probably takes 2 days to set up the stage so she needs a venue that has at least 4 nights free
Yeah, if she'd done two nights in croker after the 3 arena shows in support of 1989, it would have sold out in the blink of an eye. Reputation was a bloated mess of an album.
The lover/folklore/evermore/midnight run is an all timer though, so I could see her comfortably doing 2 nights in the Aviva.
If GAA scheduling follows this year April will have national league finals in April in croke park followed by senior football championship matches.
usually a week plus preparation for croke park shows, the plastic flooring, speakers placements and then a least a day or two of soundchecks. Would essentially rule out matches for 2 weekends.
she will have two stages going around europe, one being set up whilst other one in use.
If the Paris venue is La Défense Arena, with a 40k capacity, would RDS not be in the same range?
Yeah but a ton more costs shipping to ireland than a simple mainland europe show and even then I’d say average price will be €200 in paris for that.
aviva is probably smaller she would do here on this tour.
also pretty sure rds wouldn’t be available to Taylor due to exclusive contract with other promoter.
The RDS has been used by both Aiken and MCD
Yeah pre covid it was but heard it’s exclusive to Aiken for 2022 and for forseeable.
2 Taylor Swift gigs confirmed for the Aviva next June https://twitter.com/TicketmasterIre/status/1671187103655374849?t=GpLzIIlWyout73bsqmyG9w&s=19
Aviva it is
Where do I claim my prize?
:)
1st prize is a ticket to Taylor Swift, 2nd price is 2 tickets.. :P
Say hotels in Dublin will be updating their prices for that weekend as we speak.
If they didn’t know already tbh.
Friday and Saturday announced, and then a clear calendar until the following Friday. Does that suggest Sunday is a possible third gig in the Aviva?
Yes
They will be able to gauge the demand from the number of registrations and if its high enough she will add extra dates .
