Best just to avoid picking up if u don't recognise the number. That's the life hack as it saves you time and effort and possible ramifications down the line ;)
An actual life hack is to answer, say "thanks for the call but I'm not interested in the service. Can you remove me from your call list please?"
They just leave you alone and don't call again. I sat beside a bloke in work who got the same call at the same time every single day. He thought it was easier to get the call, check his phone and then try to ignore it until they hung up every day, instead of just answering and asking them not to call again.
Not all of them stop calling, though.
Almost all do. Not a bad return. I've no interest in getting into a battle of wills with these people. Turns out that a kind word in 2 short sentences is enough to stop almost all of them calling.
It can't be easier to actually engage with them day in, day out.

It's great if you want to just have a laptop on it. However, if you want to put monitors, keyboard, mouse or anything else on it then putting it away becomes a massive pain in the hole. Look at the last few seconds of the clip of the old table. Are you really gonna put away all that stuff when you are done? Where do you put that chair? Just stick it in the corner. Kinda ruins the whole clean, minimalist look having an office chair just stuck in the corner. I think it is one of those things you do and after a while you just never put it away and it stays permanently in desk mode.
It depends on how big your flat is. If you have a limited amount if space, you probably don't have a desktop with a full complement of peripherals; also, it's great for a WFH office where you can pack your stuff away at the end of the day and forget your office is at home.
Would need to be a handy enough sort to do it I'd say.
If not for 8 hour days/WFH, would be handy as a temp office for your own work on a laptop.
get a fold up chair of some sort so you can pack it away
