He is great at talking the talk, but he has always been good at that. He is drinking during interviews, not in the USADA pool, so it is all hot air. If you really believe that, you will believe anything.
As for the last fight, he was getting torn up, he would have been stopped by the better fighter in Rd2
I agree with a lot of what you say, but when Conor talks he has the very opposite mentality, he’ll fight anyone at any weight, he’ll never retire, his skills are improving, he is addicted to being in shape, when age does obviously prevent him competing (he’s not there yet) he’ll just adjust and move to coaching or whatever. But I don’t think you can say he was comprehensively beaten in his last fight, he was doing ok, anything could have happened in round 2, and Dustin is a savage at his prime past few years who probably beats everyone apart from Khabib.

Caught a few minutes of him on the Ultimate Fighter when he was chatting with his team and getting a hair cut, he was off his head, slurring his words. He doesn’t look great recently. 34 years old but facially looks closer to someone in their mid 40s. I think it’s pretty obvious his athlete days are behind him and have been for a few years now. Only other athlete I can think of who aged this prematurely was Wayne Rooney.
