Conor McGregor thread (MMA Talk Only - Read 1st Post Before Posting)

It was a promo for Tidl, pain relief spray. Conor had a bottle in his hand and sprayed him after he knocked him down. Even the dramatic articles say it was an obvious promo.

The first punch was pulled and went straight through the floppy bit. The second was pulled, but looked like it made some contact.

He went to the ER, got some pain pills and was sent home. Already the team is talking to reporters saying this shows how tough we are we, taking a monster punch like that and back to the games.

It’s all kayfabe.

I was responding to a poster who question if it was real. The first punch was aimed to knock the wig off the guy FFS.

You obviously have good x-ray specs to see inside the foam dummy head. Obvious he made contact, you agree to a WWE-esque promo you have to agree there might be contact. People are making out like attack an innocent mascot unprovoked. It was a skit.

Some of his interviews lately are a hard watch, he seems juiced up to his gills, and drinking still.

He will be slaughtered against Chandler, IF it ever happens.

McGregor has a bit of a dark history and no-one will deny he's behaved like a scumbag but that article reads like a complete fantasy. The claims within, I mean.

The woman is looking for settlement and not litigation.....

McGregor being holed up in a disabled toilet while security decide who joins him is the easiest part of the story to believe. Anyone who drank on baggot street 5 years ago will tell you that.

He doesn't want a fight, his TUF appearance is so he can sling more of his brands. Look at the level of product placement in it, ridiculous.

If he wanted a fight he'd of entered the USADA testing pool months ago

Anyway TMZ have released a video of the incident, he does go into the bathroom with 2 woman but they certainly don't look forced in. At best he's making a fool out his partner but she doesn't seem to care.

With the way he is going on, he doesn't cut it as a top fighter in UFC right now. Top attraction for sure, on ability not a hope. He is coming off 2 losses, looked very average at those fights and the thoughts of him having a go at it all again are stupid.

Retire, be a social media presence or something, promote your products, live the happy life. He does not need to get bashed around for the sake of it.

He is great at talking the talk, but he has always been good at that. He is drinking during interviews, not in the USADA pool, so it is all hot air. If you really believe that, you will believe anything.

As for the last fight, he was getting torn up, he would have been stopped by the better fighter in Rd2

Literally no-one here is "defending" him. Just pointing out that the claims have more holes than swiss cheese in this particular instance.

It's not an endorsement of the man and most definitely not a defence for his general antics.
