Can they not transfer from one RN to another?
He will buy but recent price reductions hit them hard that they have to be careful. There has to be a certain margin to cover any potential future price drop.

Have you not been reading this thread? Poor feckers have had awful hassle getting money out of Tesla for a refund. A few have tried to have funds from one order swapped to another but computer says no.
Will call them and see what they say. If there is any hassle, I will stick with the original order.
Just placed an order for exact same model as mine with a €3.2k discount. Due for collection in same window. I'm due to collect on the 29th and new car (with vin) is showing 27-30th June.
Question, are they likely to want me to stay with my original order and apply the discount on that instead to make sure inventory is up to date? If not, they may end up with a car going back into inventory during the last week of June.
Also, could someone please post the link or wording used to get my deposit back again.

Feck that, cancelled my base LR Y on the 30th. Ordered the exact same car. Now the fun begins getting them to move the 2K discount they were giving me for the cancelled RHD S and getting my deposit back for the original order.
No reductions on Model 3 (yet!), probably because of low stock - but they look poor value now compared to the discounted Model Y
Web chat for deposit refund. Got mine in 3 days through that last time.
also, if you are on chat and link an existing car in inventory that matches your order, they can apply that discount. They have in the past,,but we all know current customer care issues, that may not happen now.
Unless they knock €3K off the cheapest M3, then that looks like a brilliant buy.

Some of the Model Y long range with tow hitches etc are showing the discount plus the 5k grant included. I wonder if that'll be honoured as they've said discounts can't be factored in?

Any that have a pre discount (Crossed out) price of over €55K surely will not get the 5K grant. Price is very misleading, you can add 5K to a lot of those discounted prices. Beware..
A few months back, some tesla tech somewhere in Europe applied discounts to Irish cars that made them massively cheaper. We all jumped on them and ordered but subsequently cancelled. It was a risk worth taking as deposit is fully refundable

SEAI grant of 5k is available for cars with total cost between 40k and 60k. This is before discounts.
Any list price over 60k = no SEAI grant.
That's why I said it is misleading for anyone who isn't aware of the way Tesla show prices.
For example, A Model Y LR inventory (Blue + towbar) at €53292. Base price €61682, less showroom adjustment €3390, less grant €5000.
This car would not get the grant, though it clearly shows that it does..
€60k is the threshold. Not 55.

That’s normal, they always showed the price after the grant.
The last firesale were for cats that were 60k plus discounted, then the discount brought them under the grant on the system, so double discount and those cars are at risk of not being processed
these other cars are already under the grant threshold so will get the grant irrespective of showroom discount.
Exactly, if the total price is > 60k, no grant applicable. Error on Tesla site for cars listed >60k, as Tesla show 5k SEAI grant.

Was definitely a few who did last time out, only for them not to honour the discounts (I’d be fairly certain they will this time other than cars over €60k).
There was also some guy writing to the CCPC complaining about them having a discount when he’d paid full price 😂
That’s the bug. Click the little I in the top right corner. If original price is 60k plus, then I wouldn’t order it.

I think we are saying the same thing😊.
But it is very misleading for anyone who doesn't understand that discounted cars wont get the grant discount unless they previously got it, as per my example the Blue one in inventory
