People complaining about the bradleys and lepords being destroyed
This is war
Of course there gonna use the better equipment to break through otherwise its like fine crockery you save and only bring out for guests
They need to use it
Chances are these areas have already been taken so now its fix them if possible and send back to battle
The western machines were always the most likely to lead the offensive and losses would have been expected
But the armchair generals seem to know better
Russians killing retreating Russians, savages.
I suggested it months ago for the conflict in Ukraine they are better suited vs fast jets such as the F16/18
...
Exactly.
Tanks and such are tools.
Tools can be replaced or repaired.
These tools save lives by protecting the soldiers inside and from what I've seen so far, they are definitely doing that.
16 in a week or so isn't great , America only lost 28 in total during the first gulf war most due to friendly fire,
But it's to be expected, the Ukrainians are facing the same issues as the Russians faced in bakhmut, Vuhledar and elsewhere, mines, drones and trying to avoid artillery travelling across open ground
I'm not saying I agree with this but it is along the lines of what we are discussing.
I think someone else posted about the training time needed, plus maintenance etc. Maybe in time they will but kermit the frog might have topped himself in a bunker by then.
On the attack helicopters, wouldn't these be an ideal target for drones? I've no real knowledge of helicopters but wouldn't have thought you'd need a large charge to render them inoperable if you can hit the rotors (either while grounded or in the air)
We've seen the stormers and avengers being susceptible to drones and loitering munitions ,but outside manpads which would only give limited defense capabilities, the only other option is to pull valuable air defense systems from elsewhere to try cover advances, backed up with other systems.
They don't have too many options open to them
The Longbow apache has a fantastic targeting radar that can track hundreds of targets and categories the threats ,and they can be equiped with air 2air missles along with chaingun,
But at the moment the Soviet era helicopters are agricultural compared to western ones, the mil Hind is a beast of a machine but even those are only being used to lob unguided rockets from a safe distance from the front lines
Pizzagate Posobiec... Nope.
Actually on Russian helicopters the Russians currently have 90+ operational in Crimea Alone, a massive strike on Crimea should be the way to go , from long HiMars ,jdams and aircraft,
It would be a gamble almost worth taking
I sincerely hope you are right and he is wrong.
Or, the head of the Ukrainian military is a little busy right now and doesn't have the time or the headspace to flatter the Twitterati.
The rockets on those are so small I question how much damage they can even do. I feel like I've seen bigger fireworks at the grocery store down here.
Feel good story featuring a Russian pow.
80mm /3in unguided rockets yeah pretty much the way they are being used is pretty much spray and pray ,I don't think the way they are being used is accurate or liable to do a lot damage,
They are designed for close enough range to ground targets , infantry and soft vehicles, not volley fired Hoping to hit something a few km down the road
Posobiec's a liar. Avoid him.
Mighty stuff
More Russian propaganda
Been a while since a Russian general died
I havent heard from Michael Martin in 3 weeks. Must be because Urusla Von Der Lyon wants Ireland to have a heat wave, but Martin is having no part of it
Don't worry Vatniks. Ukraine has lost a few Leopards and Bradleys.
Edited
BS, that’s just Russian propaganda, can’t you see that?
Speaking of which.....
I'm usually not one for pettiness but told you so:
It's a weird one as no one thought Ukraine would suffer 0 losses and I'm sure there will be real pictures like this coming out at some point (unless it's a complete russian rout). Are the putinista's that desperate already?
