These cases have taken months and months to investigate, which is normal. It's not like these cases have suddenly been investigated since he announced. This classified documents case has been underway since last year.

Trump doesn't necessarily have to attract middle ground voters. It's worth remembering that Trump got the most votes out of any Republican candidate in history during the 2020 election. It's just that he also had a record number of people voting for him. If he could hang on to that base and get a lower turnout for Biden, that's one way back in.
I agree that he's a terrible candidate and likely to lose in a race against Biden, but it would be way closer than it has any business being and the complacency generated by saying he has zero chance is extremely dangerous, and is one of the things that allowed him to win in 2016.
Voters will come out and vote for Biden, not because they’re fans of Biden, but because they know Trump should not be president again. There’s a fear (and hopefully a burgeoning sense of duty) there.

I mean, why bother taking into consideration the actual dates, evidence, length of time investigations take, due process etc, when you can just shrug your shoulders and say it seems coincidental and "It may well be, but it might not be."
Again, the E.Jean Carroll lawsuit was in motion for several years and was delayed because Trump was President, and then because Trump's side used every delay tactic they could. The classified documents case happened after several months of back and forth where Trump and his team purposefully didn't comply with orders to return the documents, which led into an investigation about it, which is now coming to indictment stage. The Georgia election interference case only happened after Trump was President, and there has been an investigation into it since. Other Jan 6th cases regarding Trump are the same.
Trump announced he was running again in November 2022. All of these investigations were underway before that, and they take as long as they take.
And as years have been put into some of these investigations, maybe there is now a bit of a rush to get them through the courts before Nov ‘24 as if he was elected president there would be yet another 4 year delay.
He announced his run months earlier than necessary BECAUSE he knew he was going to get charged so that he could claim "Political witch hunt" to deflect from the fact that he is a criminal, a con man and a sexual predator.
The timing was on trump's side, he announced early knowing the indictments were coming.

Yes, it is highly suspicious that all parties seeking to sue or prosecute him did not do so in that extremely small window of time.

If I may ask rapidash, when would have been the best time for these lawsuits/investigations to happen? When would have been the time where his supporters wouldn't have thought they had anything to do with Trump running again even before he announced he was? How long should these investigations have taken? And given the fact that these lawsuits/investigations are a mix of civil, state and federal, over different jurisdictions, what collaboration should have happened between all judicial and investigatory parties in order to space things out so it wouldn't look like there was a concerted effort to impact Trump running again?
Because if anything, any kind of concerted effort to spread things out would have looked more like it was being done to prevent Trump winning again.
Just watching an interview with Michael Cohen on MSNBC, who seems to think that Trump/Kushner were passing some confidential info to the Saudis about Iran. The possibilities there are endless, and could certainly explain why Mohammed Bin-Salman made a large payment to Kushner. Obviously there's plenty of business reasons for a payment of that nature but it would make you wonder.
