As Valeyard said, also tracks are very easy and fast to repair and the Russians are particuarily good at it, so it's a serious drain on limited resources.
Rail bridges are another thing though.
They have been targetting railway station and hubs and warehouses near raillines. Unfortunately railway line logistics is one thing Russia actually do well.
A damaged piece of rail line(assuming its not part of a bridge) is relatively straightforward and quick to repair and not worth using a 200k missile to attack. So I wouldn't count on this disrupting things for very long unless the damage is extensive. But even a few days delay at this crucial moment could make a big difference on the frontlines.
Does Kermit de Vatnik and Clare know this?
Easy to repair, but equally easy to break again in a new place each time they repair it. Impossible to protect rail line across land containing just a handful of people who disapprove of what you are up to. Easier to protect a bridge, and more essential to protect it.
For as long as sabotage can keep breaking the rail lines the better as it keeps the line out of action each time.
Waste of expensive cruise missiles and rockets
Interesting If true.
The Russians don't want to negotiate because they have the deluded belief they can still win, they can't. The west has invested too much political capital for that to happen . When the Russians finally accept they can't win watch their stance change on negotiations. Sergei will probably say they retreated as a good will gesture to facilitate peace talks as the Ukrainans tanks roll up to the Russian border.
Crimea cut off for the night at least, I wonder how many airbourne troops Ukraine has been secretly training.
(Only joking of course). 😉
Couldn’t dissidents not also sabotage the rails elsewhere in more subtle ways, eg. Make a thermite charge (just some aluminum and iron oxide powders) and frustrate their ability to use the rail in ways that are hard to detect until it might be too late to cause a derailment? Could also bolt a cast iron device to the rails to get the train to hop the track. Those are cheap tactics that could frustrate the moving of millions of dollars of goods and military equipment at a time from moving anywhere on a schedule.
I don't think the Ukrainians have got within 10kms of the main Russian defensive line, according to this:
Hmmm...
Lol, a bent rocket

who's winnin lads?
Neskuchne confirmed.
Still much to do.
Onwards!
Hoping it's true
The good guys
The last tweet I initially misread as Mariupol, damn. Someday soon hopefully.
This thrust is only three days old and, given the number of directions Ukraine is currently reported to be pushing in, probably still in the 'probing' phase, looking to make holes or exploit existing holes (and do Russian holes ever deserve a good penetrating, here). Probably a truism to say at this stage that there is much to do. Right now, the AFU look up for doing it. Let's see how things develop and pray for continuing good news. As ever, Russia can end this war tomorrow by fúcking off home.
I wonder if you flipped the situation, how many of the usual sort would be pleading for 'peace', i.e. Ukraine's surrender?
Russia getting desperate. Another dam could have been blown.
It’s encouraging but long way to go yet. They likely haven’t hit the defensive lines yet. Fingers crossed they can breach them without taking too many losses.
that's what I wanted to hear !
Breaking:
Major penetration happening in Zaporizhzhia.
giggity..
Breaking: Soldiers from a nation where homosexuality is widely derided find themselves subjected to an arse-f'king.
Hopefully my ejaculation above is not premature, here, and these reports are confirmed/come true later on.
Surely they’ll run out of dams to explode soon enough.
Some hoors they are - they deserve to be well and truly gotten rid of. No loss to humanity or the world.
Her information has been very sketchy in the past.
Some small gains reported for Ukraine in parts of the front. A km or two advance here and there. A couple of villages taken. No major success reported as of yet.
There is very little info from the Ukraine side for obvious reasons so we just have to be patient with getting the news.
