Oooh, that looks like a proper Detroit style pizza! Divine. Loads of cheese and cut in a rectangle pie shape. I like the soupy Naples pizza as much as the next person, and the crispy Rome one, but the Italians would want to get over themselves sometimes. pizza has been adapted in loads of cultures over the years, they don’t get a monopoly on it. Room for all pizza!
Is it a chain do you know? There’s a Frankie’s pizza in Copenhagen, related?

Starter of pork cheek in XO sauce with potato pavé. Very soft meat, lovely flavour. Large portion.
Mains is lamb raan with Persian rice, green beans and pickled onion. Nice, but I would have preferred stronger flavours. The rice was very grainy/crumbly.
I see that Noodlee are expanding/investing.

Nah... the only takeaway food I usually get is from Jade Palace Chinese on Douglas Street after a few pints in Fionnbarra, or the odd Indian curry... but I might try their spring rolls for an on the street snack when I'm passing next!
Making arrangements now with a few friends to go to Sabor Nordestino on Washington Street. Looking forward to trying there! 😋
If you're getting a snack in that area, you should try a jian bing from across the street. I really like them. The basic is the best for my taste, but I like the duck one, too, for a more substantial feed.

went to thali recently on Maylor st - highly recommend for indian/Nepalese food !
we love it too - but met an Indian guy at the weekend who said that Coriander is way better.. more authentic and better flavour.. gonna go there soon
Met a friend there today for lunch, only had salads as he was in a bit of a rush to collect his kid from school & the owner said it would be ~15 mins to prepare the hot foot. She is indeed very friendly as she gave us two bottles of Georgian lemonade for free or else a very good marketer as I feel compelled to go back there now 🙂

Douglas maybe? Yeah, I would recommend it @sporina. More of the typical Indian dishes, but very good. I had the lamb rogan josh the last time, it was lovely, but would like to try their thali set too next time.
I love Thali on Maylor Street too, the jimbu chicken is delicious!
Is there now a Murphys (the Dingle Murphys) in Cork? Need to know where that is.
And yes sadly, they are stupid expensive but are some of the best non-gelato I've never had.

Had breakfast in the 12 Tables Sunday morning. Everyone very satisfied. I had the fry, top marks. The pancakes went down well also.
