The information Booklet for the Open competition is below, if you need to refer to it at a later stage in the competition.
Best of luck everyone!
Hey All, does anyone know if your going through clearance, does that mean there is definitely a position for you once you clear references checks and Garda vetting?
Thanks in advance
Did anyone apply for the AP Comms competition? A friend applied and he hasn't heard back and asked me do all civil service competitions take ages (obviously the answer is yes generally, but I don't know anything about this particular one)
Generally yes. Especially at this stage, yes. Are you going through clearance in Batch 1.2 now?
Yes batch 1.2 in Offaly
Has anyone any information on what's happening with the laois panels? I sat i'the interview for offaly and got placed on both open and inter-d but had laois as my first preference so hoping to find out OOM before I have to make a decision on an offer. Any info greatly appreciated 👍
Did anyone else get a clearance email today? I'm batch 1.2 in Dublin for reference.
Does anyone know how long your current Department can refuse to let you be promoted into a different Department from an open/interd panel? Is there a certain length of time beyond which it's reasonable to essentially deny someone a promotion?
I also got a clearance email for Dublin today. I was at the end of Batch 1.1
…..
@Emyou11 thanks for the update. Can you say roughly what number you were just to try to guage how many were in batch 1.1 to estimate how long it might take to get through batch 1.2
I contacted them today and they said they're up to number 5 on batch 1.2.
42 in 1.1.
Hi All huge congratulations to those that are on a panel and keep trying to those that didn't it is a tough competition.
All the comments are so helpful.
the June interviews are from the first batch - is it 1.3 ?
what is the latest date of interview in June?
Hi Sekond, I applied too and haven't heard anything. I contacted them a couple of weeks ago and they said they "shortlisting arrangements are being finalised", this was 23rd May.
Not sure about promotions but I know for mobility your Department can't hold on to you for longer than four weeks once you've agreed to go to your new Department. Did your local HR outright say they're putting a hold on your move because it's a PAS-led process so they can't stop you once your new Department gives you a starting date.
Did your current Department 'tag' you to stay out of curiosity?
I was in the late 30s
Thanks for all the updates, they're super helpful 😊
Anyone else still holding out hope they will screen another batch of applications from those that scored under the 1159 from online competitions ??
They 100% will.
"Holding out hope" is the wrong phrasing. Expecting to hear in the next few weeks would be more accurate.
I should be in the next batch, and expect to hear about shortlisting within 3 weeks of the current batch of interviews being notified of results. That seems to be roughly the rthym they're working to albeit summer may delay things a bit.
They'll likely get quite a way further down the OOM before this finishes up.
Defo but how much hope lol - wonder how far down they might go
I'm pretty confident we will have our applications examined and called forward for batch 2. I'm not much below 1159.
I think the last date of interviews for this batch is today, 13 June.
Does anyone know how many batches they will do in Dublin before they move to other counties? I didn’t put Dublin on my list of counties.
It's tomorrow 🙈
The advantage of being last up is that you tend to get results quickly, especially for the interviews.
Rock it !!!
Glad to see few more expecting to hear something 😀
Anyone any updates on the Laois panels for AP 2022 Open/InterD?
Does anyone know if interviews for laois have commenced yet? If so, what number were you allocated from Stage 2 to be called to interview?
Thanks, it's done now. Had a very nice panel. Not sure how I did but I didn't totally embarrass myself, which is a result in itself!
