Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Currently it’s multiple nights in every city they play, from a logistics perspective this makes sense. The resources needed to build the stage are enormous and one night in Dublin not enticing whereas other cities in europe would easily offer 2/3 consecutive nights at a weekend with no sweat.
who knows maybe there is 3 shows locked in for April/august/September next year already so no need to move the new football season schedule.
Know both played here last year but this would of been a fun double header
Pip Blom in The Grand Social, Thursday 8th February.
Last time they were scheduled to play here covid scuppered it.
Pixies on 8/9/10 March in Olympia playing Bossanova and Tromp Le Monde
Tickets more reasonable than I expected, Nialler9 has them priced *from* 62e plus fees. Thought they might be closer to 80/90 for a venue with smaller capacity than they'd usually play (even accounting for the 3 nights)
From €62 for upper circle, probably closer to €80 for standing especially with fees
Forgot the key ''from'' bit so yeah that sounds right
Eric Clapton playing 3 Arena on the 16th of May
Prices will be very expensive and he barely plays for 90 minutes these days.
All seated.
He has an issue with his hands doesn't he?
Foo Fighters about to announce a 2024 UK tour (announcement this week or next probably, sign up for presale ends this Thursday). Outdoor show here hopefully
Malahide or Marlay Park maybe
Although The RDS in 2019 got a very big crowd
It’d be Marlay over Malahide, or one of the stadiums.
Got an email there from TM to say that my two seats for Judas Priest are no longer available as they are extending the standing section.
Fcuking pissed that we'll either have to stand (which neither of us are able to for a prolonged period) or get sh!t seats up in the rafters. 🤬🤬🤬
Any idea how to sign up for presale?
Malahide two small for foo fighters. Either aviva or marlay park
Got the same email
Prob stay in the seating area
The point if they coming maybe the Odyssey also, think it's an arena run. A Birmingham date anyway Ticket Factory are fairly dumb when it comes to keeping hush if so.
Would be shocked if it’s an arena run. Chaos for tickets if it is.
would guess its villa park in Birmingham
More than likely as they were due to play there before Taylor Hawkins died
PIXIES
3Olympia Theatre, Dublin
Fri 08, Sat 09, Sun 10 March 2024
Tickets from €62* on sale Friday at 9am
Prices aren't as bad as I thought, got 2 Floor row E bang in the centre for 140 euro, would be ~280 euro for similar seats in the Albert Hall.
PJ Harvey two nights in Olympia 22nd and 23rd September 2023.
already mention in the 2023 thread
Tommy Emmanuel playing Vicar Street and also in Belfast and Derry in February.
Just got two tickets for Saturday. I noticed an interesting quirk in the ordering process. I wanted standing tickets and the date was less important, so I had windows open in three different browsers on my PC, one for each night, and the app open on my phone pointed at Saturday night. In the countdown timer the three browser windows were running 2 seconds behind the app on my phone. So, when 9 o'clock came, the app offered me standing tickets but the two second delay meant they were all gone when my browser offered me tickets and I was shown rear circle tickets instead.
Anyway, I got the standing tickets through the phone app, so I'm happy, but it's one to remember for next time.
Pixies standing are all gone now as far as I can see - For Fri and Sat, I can't make Sun. Set a reminder but got distracted. Flip.
Bring Me The Horizon have just announced a tour, 3 arena on 23rd January
That will be a serious gig, bad omens in support.
