Anyone thinks they know how this war will go is in a state of sin.
If you thimk the Russians talking up their military capabilities didn't get them anywhere i know some Chechens, Georgians and Crimeans who might like a chat with you.
The dastardly Anglo-Saxons!!
Two AMX-10's seemingly abandoned.
So seems the videos of the Ukrainians probing and then taking a lot of damage and casualties is true.
Very strange decision to attack through a field without any air support.
Russia just picked them off like sitting ducks.
Russians claiming to have taken out 9 of the AMX-10, but the UAF did reclaim the town.
Yeah just remember everyone. There's gonna be a shitstorm of fake images and stories being propogated around the internet about bundles of ukrainian vehicles destroyed. Waves of UAF soldiers being mowed down from Russian telegram sources. Then bundled up and repacked on seemingly innocent looking twitter accounts or even innocently reposted by accident by legit accounts. And while obviously UAF lives and armor are going to be lost in this offensive, that's how Russian disinformation works.
It was a failed kherson offensive for weeks and weeks until it wasn't so just keep the nerves calm.
Seems like there is a concerted attempt by the Ukrainian government to project that an offensive is taking place in Bakhmut. They're also not shy about publicising the raids into Belogrod.
But when it comes to the raids in the south of Ukraine, not a squeak.
I heard the other day that the Russians have 150,000 men in occupied Zaporizhia oblast, which is estimated to be half of all of their men in Ukraine. All roads likely lead there in this offensive. They know it. The Ukrainians know it. Everything else is simply misdirection.
The nice thing about the raids into Belgorod as a strategic move is that even though the Russians know that it's misdirection they still have to move troops out of Ukraine to go and deal with it. Similarly, if the Ukrainians were to actually retake Bakhmut that'd be a major embarrassment so they might also move troops out to defend that.
If the Ruskies got caught and encircled in the Zaporizhia oblast it would go down in history as one of the greatest military defeats in modern history. (For Russia)
Why not just leave them there and take Donetsk? Think about defending that thin strip if it cut off from Donetsk.
Mearsheimer (His 'war of attrition' comment is outdated and that affects the rest of what he says)
According to some on the net Putin has taken himself into isolation and has asked to only be informed of positive news from now on.
In fairness, I'd love that for myself.
It's Hitler in his final days
Not to mention the British Royal Family links to Russian Romanoff's,,,,could be a few surviving Romanoff descendants or even direct relatives ( Prince Michael of Kent, for example ) taking more than a passing interest in how this is going...after the collapse, maybe a Romanoff restoration?? ( only joking, but if a paranoid Putin heard even a hint about such a move, ballistic meltdown would not even cover his reaction)
Last time they got encircled like that was in the Battle of Kyiv, by the Nazis, in summer 1941.
600,000 Germans in highly mechanised armoured divisions blew away Soviet resistance of over one million men and inflicted over 700,000 casualties themselves, along with the destruction or capture of over 30,000 soviet armoured vehicles, aircraft and field artillery pieces.
It remains the single biggest dent ever put in a Russo-Soviet force in a single battle theatre in all of history.
While an encirclement of Zaphorizhia wouldn't exceed those numbers, it would perhaps exceed it in impact and significance.
In '41, the Reds booby-trapped much of central Kyiv with radio detonated mines to target Nazi field commanders, but of course only ended up killing mainly refugee civilians, venturing out for what supplies they might find.
And so if that is their instinct, the question becomes, what shall they do with the six VVER-1000 pressurised water fission reactors by the river.....?
He has consistently been wrong, and the guy tweeting his opinions has been posting the Russian propaganda narrative for years.
🤣🤣 The sewer system is being looked at in Moscow.
Sky News - Zelenskyy says there is more good news to come soon...
Yes. I'm suspicious as to how he is getting his statistics. For example, if UA were doing as badly in Bakhmut as he said, they would not have stayed there for so long.
No wonder Putin is locking himself away he must be feeling so let down by everyone. All he ever wanted was a little peace..
A piece of Ukraine, a piece of Finland, a piece of Moldova, etc.
According to the net 9/11 was an inside job, Soros runs the world and Russia where running out of missiles 8 months ago.
Sounds like a version of Come back with your shield or on it.
Not from the footage released today.
Which footage is that?
Ukraine gained miles with huge losses, not the way to go, they need eyes in the sky,
..
This is the Russian claim Ukraine lost 1500 troops, 8 Leo II and 3 AMX-10, despite zero visual evidence?
Shall we add that to the 8 M270's of 13 delivered.
The 50 HIMARS destroyed of 20 delivered?
People actually keep a running total of the Kremlins claims:
