Nope, no deposit, yeah it's about 8k, or 800 a year in interest over the 10 years. The credit unions will do it for new cars but you wouldn't get it for second hand ones
It's great really with the latest price reductions Tesla are almost in the budget car section
Out of interest why do you think I'm mad? I've always believed that as long as a loan outlasts the purchase you're winning... Do you think the model 3 will stop working on me before the 10 years is up?
You've just committed yourself to €400 a month for 10 years, that's what I find mad. Pay the loan over five years and you probably save yourself 60% of that interest.
Very few credit unions give car loans out over a longer term than five years. You're only the second person I've come across who've gotten such a term from a CU that I've heard of.
I'd say there is a good chance the loan will outlast the purchase!
I usually get cars on finance so it's not that much of a commitment in my mind. To me, it's the same as getting a 5 year car loan and another in 5 years time, or 2 X 3 year loans and then a 4 year one. The only difference is I won't be buying another car for 10 years at least
You don't think a brand new M3 will last 10 years? How long do you think it will last?

Well mine lasted 37 days before I returned it as I didn't want to gamble on dealing with Tesla.
Not either. I have a sneaking feeling that when I message them tomorrow for a reg, they’re going to tell me no one can collect on the 6th

So it looks like the refreshed model 3 is being announced in June. Starting to think it's better to wait now. Big competition coming from BYD and NIO, so I'd suggest Tesla will have to up their game
True, but what will the prices be? No guarantee that the current prices will remain and the byd cars, while decent, aren't as good as the Teslas performance wise.
Credit union is different you can pay off the full amount at any stage. I got one (4 year) sold the car 1 1/2 years and paid off the balance with no fees.

Yeah maybe, although you are taking a gamble, especially with Tesla where upgrades aren't necessarily always better, Tesla vision looking at you lol
My advice is if you like the car and the price as it stands then buy it

I think the pricing will probably be a bit higher, but they still have to compete with the others. The BYD Seal may not have the performance in some models but it has to make Tesla raise their game. They can't release a new model 3 and not advance the car. The NIO ET5 offers pretty much everything, including performance. I would still buy the Tesla but the question is wait for the refresh or buy now
I was just chatting to them there. They said the registration on my car is not completed yet but that it’ll be sorted before collection tomorrow

OK - got them on the phone there.
Talked to a lady who said there is no reg on my account yet but she would get the registration team on it and would contact them - she said they are working today and said I should get a text message with the reg number...
So we'll see - if I get a reg number I'll let yiz know....

Keep checking skis your Tesla Accoint under documents. I have found that the reg document first appears here before any formal notification from Tesla. It’s not unusual to be last minute so try not to stress. Insurance can usually be switched/organised in minutes.
