I wonder how this will work out for him

I thought he was only standing out in front of the gate, I didn't realise he was going inside the grounds. If that's the case, they should lock him up for a few months so. Then it will probably be rinse and repeat.
Burke has been driven in through the gates every day since and has stood by that window. He has not stood outside the gates since they locked them the day he returned from Mullingar Gardai station. Which once opened to let a bus in he walked in and stood by that window until his father drove in and picked him up.
You can see here where he is standing today on Virgin media news.
I don’t think he was ever 4 years old.
I'd say he hasn't worn a pair of shorts since he was 4
Shorts? Shorts? and tempt passers by with a lascivious display? Mammy wouldn't approve.
He doesn't have a criminal record as you say.
In fairness he was there for civil contempt, and not on foot of any criminal conviction, so I don't think it counts as a criminal record.
There is a difference between civil contempt and criminal contempt, it was discussed way back at the start of the thread. Open to correction on this, but I believe criminal contempt carries a sentence for a defined amount of time.
I wonder will Enoch be allowed to wear shorts at his school gate protest. Its wild warm to be wearing dark slacks.
He had better bring some sunscreen too.
Not for contempt of court.
If/When he gets charged for the breaches of the injunction preventing him from turning up at the school he'll get a record , but for now he's technically "clean"
Is contempt of court a criminal offence?
Can you have a criminal record for contempt of court?
Im not sure but I was under the impression if you went to prison then you wouldnt pass one of those checks
But does a criminal record automatially disqualify you? I'd have thought minor offences wouldn't be an issue.
He has spent time in Mountjoy already so now he has a criminal record he wouldnt pass those checks today.
🤣🤣
Sneaky leg bag solution..
That's why he wears that big coat :-)
That has never occurred to me to ask before. How/where does he relieve himself during his vigal?
As this stage the school can get a permanent injunction against him. so whether it meets the criminal standard of trespass isn't really relative.
The Portaloo is a trap - it's a portal to a different dimension borrowed from Rick Sanchez. He won't say where it leads, but he's assured us it's not the blender dimension.
The rule he has to obey is stay away from the school.
This report from the day says he was ordered "not to attend the premises, and not to teach any classes while on paid administrative leave."
Justice O'Moore then referred to his "utterly pointless attendance" at the school, when imposing the fines for contempt of court.
I think you should take this further with Justices Stack, O'Moore, Dignam, Owens et al, as no one else seems able to convince you that the school gate is not part of the premises.
He's correcting imaginary exams for the summer ...........................................outside the gate. They're putting a Portaloo outside the gate for him too.
I don't think he has been sanctioned yet for those breaches of the Injunctions.
The daily fines are for his contempt of court linked to the Injunction but he gets fined every day whether or not he turns up at the school.
So even if Enoch goes on his summer holidays this week from his "job" of standing at the gate he is still racking up the daily fines.
At some future point a Judge will rule on the actual breaches of the Injunction which could result in more fines or possibly even jail time.
The question of whether he's trespassing is probably unrelated to the question of whether he's in breach of the injunction (unless what the injunction forbids is "trespassing", but that's unlikely).
To be fair, it's not semantics. The wording of the injunction is important because it determines the rules that he has to obey. And those rules will determine whether he is trespassing by standing there or he's not trespassing by standing there.
The initial confrontation was with the previous principal, Niamh McShane.
He's evangelical Christian, I don't think the school's ethos is that specific.
He's vetted though so that's ok
A load of those crazies protested outside Mountjoy and Wilsons and Courts to support him
I don’t know if any precedent has been set for that? It’s possible I suppose but the court time and money doesn’t make it worthwhile. That family has wasted enough of our court time and seeing how uncooperative they are, I can’t see anyone being bothered pursuing that. It would make for great entertainment but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of them yet 😂
Bit like those Water charges protesters back in the day who would scream "PEACEFUL PROTEST" at the IW Workers from about a 6 inch range while they were trying to dig a hole.
SFAIK the Burkes are not members of any church.
Alternatively, they have set up their own independent church, of which they are the only members.
