Cork Antrim Galway etc has population advantage over Leitrim Sligo etc , all top Counties want for nothing in terms of funding
Dublin playing home games in 3/4 empty Croke Park is a disadvantage in my opinion .
What county other than Dublin has enjoyed decades of advantages? In terms of population, funding, playing at home etc.
Again more nonsense from this anti Dublin poster.
theyre tired of dublin winning and the competition format the overwhelming majority of people know the competition isnt rigged in any shape or form in favour of any team
Nonsense, home advantage benefits Dublin just as it does every other team in basically every other sport. The stadium is empty for many games, particularly Leinster games, because people are tired with how the competition has been effectively rigged to benefit Dublin.
Nope its the achilles heel of Dublin playing in Croke Park in a near empty stadium , now if Dublins home games were played in Parnell Park who knows 😜
Yes, the achilles heel of all top teams - home disadvantage. Would have hammered kerry last year if it was down in killarney. They might be on 10 in a row if they nominated castlebar instead of croker.
I believe Dublin playing all there games in Croke park is a disadvantage
Are the comments factual ?
Your learning , Dublin 6 in a row team are a once in a generation team , again all the top Gaa teams want for nothing in regards to extra coaching resources etc , its also my opinion home games for Dublin are a disadvantage .
U20 All Ireland final in 2020. Galway beat Dublin by one point in Croke Park
DUBLIN: Josh O'Neill; Conor Tyrrell, Adam Rafter, Josh Bannon; Rory Dwyer, Adam Waddick, Lee Gannon; Adam Fearon, Mark O'Leary; Mark Lavin, Lorcan O'Dell, Sean Lowry; Ciaran Archer, Luke Swan, Brian O'Leary.
Only Lee Gannon has become a starter for Dublin seniors. Lorcan O'Dell on the panel any others? Dessie Farrell not bringing through many new faces and bringing back the old guard.
GALWAY: Conor Flaherty; Jonathan McGrath, Sean Fitzgerald, Jack Glynn; Cian Monahan, Tony Gill, Cathal Sweeney; Conor Raftery, Cian Hernon; Paul Kelly, Matthew Tierney, Ryan Monahan; Patrick Kelly, Tomo Culhane, Matthew Cooley.
A good number of that team are now either starting or are on the Galway 26 now. Joyce who was their U20 manager 2019 placing his trust in youth.
How do you justify answering "No" to each of those questions. Unless the comments made are not factual.
So the Dublin players are not just once in a generation talents, they are also the only team in the entire history of team sports that gain no benefit from extra coaching resources and home advantage.
Incredible, its like talking to a flat earther.
By 2015 Dublin had 61 development people employed across the county - this was a scheme only available in Dublin. The province of Munster (which is bigger in every way - population, no of clubs, geographical spread) only had 34. Would you consider that special treatment? No
In the period from 2011 to present, Dublin played 1 home game in Parnell Park (a behind closed doors covid game against meath) and the rest of them were in croke park, would you consider that as home advantage? NO
In a 10 year period to 2017, Dublin received 16 times more development funding than the next biggest county (probably linked to point 1 above), is that not considered special treatment in your eyes? No

You are correct, there are other rich counties who have impressive setups, but Dublin are the only county that recieved these advantages.
I dont agree Dublin had special treatment (additional resources, home advantage, special coaching structures etc
Ok , so you dont agree all the top Counties , wanted for nothing in regards to resources funding coaching structures etc ?
OK, so you think that all those years of special treatment (additional resources, home advantage, special coaching structures etc) had no impact on dublins achievements?
Actually no we are not in agreement
Well I think we are in agreement then - the unfair advantages handed to Dublin had a positive impact on the team and contributed to their Dominance (the point of the thread)
I will also be very clear for you , i think all the top Counties want for nothing in regards to resources , funding ,coaching structures etc
Do i think the above had zero impact on Dublins performace , no
It was a golden generation , money and population play a part in getting every team on the pitch to begin with .Jim Gavin won 6 All irelands a brilliant manager .
I will be very clear for you - I think Jim gavin, and the exceptional players he had at his disposal, had a very significant impact on dublin winning 8 all irelands.
But my original question was, do you think the years of funding, additional resources, special coaching structures, home advantage etc have had zero impact on Dublins performance?
It was several groups of great players, not a golden generation. They played their part for sure, but money and population played a part in getting them on the pitch to begin with. We can't judge Jim Gavin given the context, he was too unfairly advantaged to be definitively analysed.
Good old Bertie 🤣
Did you ever see the clip where hector went to the match with him? I think it was when Westmeath beat you. Tears in his eyes. Probably the exact moment he decided Dublin would be getting million's in government Grant's no other county will get.
You do know you're wasting your time with that lot dunnerc, They despise Dublin, always have always will, would not matter if they split Dublin in 20, they will still have something to moan about. let them off on their ramblings.
Poor Bertie 😂
Just to be clear , are you saying you don't think a special group of players arrived around the same time along with a great manager had zero impact on winning 8 All Irelands?
Just to be clear - are you saying the years of funding, additional resources, special coaching structures, home advantage etc have had zero impact on Dublins performance?
