Shatner keeping busy.. he will host US reality TV series Star on Mars.
Stars on Mars gathers 12 famous (or infamous) crewmates to live and compete in a simulated Mars base—actually the Australian Outback—where the “celebronauts” tackle survival challenges, with weak links voted out by the rest of the cast Participants include former cyclist Lance Armstrong, figure skater Adam Rippon, former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, wrestler Ronda Rousey, actress/singer Tinashe, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter and the inevitable Real Housewife refugee, Atlanta’s Porsha Williams Guobadia.
It could be a prime target to test a Genesis Device either
Tiktok should be subject to General Order 7
TikTok is a strange new world.
The crossover we never thought we'd have. Yes, this is from the Official Star Trek TikTok channel.

Fantastic quality from that
Got an answer.. It's a Prusa i3 MK3
William Shatner on The WTF with Marc Maron podcast this week. Not a whole lot of Star Trek chat but a good listen all the same.
Posting this as well here, in case people are not reading the SNW thread.
I used to work in a place with a mid end UV laser resin printer that had could do 20+ layers per mm, limited by the software more than the hardware IIRC, and you could get some seriously smooth shapes from it.
Well it's no pokey little Ender3 being used there I would imagine. Seriously that level of defect free printing is fantastic
I'll ask him, but yea it's very impressive alright! We got the spec/model from here:
I know very little about the whole 3D printing thing, but given the demise of Eaglemoss, it would be great if you could just make your own - although painting would still be an issue and I've never painted a model.
With the Destiny above, the various parts come right off (no glue used) so I figure silver spray for the hull, darker grey spray for the cannons and the rear bridge tower/pyramid, and then try not to mess up the gold highlights and the dome!
What bloody printer does your buddy have?
The detail is fantastic!!!
Oh and I know it's not Trek, but a mate of mine has 3D printed this for me too..
For those unaware, it's the Destiny (and seed ship) from Stargate Universe (like ENT, a show cancelled too soon).
Might have to get me one of these printers yet! 😀
Ultimately I'll try and make it look like this....
..
No swinging a Phaser Rifle at this one either? Alright?
Keep it away from any Worf figures you might have
I know, I know.. I'm nuts, but....
USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E Gold XL , previously unreleased by Eaglemoss.
Managed to get one tonight on the MR site before it was sold out. Will go nicely with my Gold -D XL 😁
PS4 and PS5, XBox, and Windows through the Epic Games store.
What platforms is the new game availible on?
Seems to be reviewing well enough, despite a lot of technical jankiness throughout; seems the story alone is decent. Would be nice if this opened the door to more Trek games, even ones playing with genres not immediately obvious.
Every dialogue option should just have a button called "Shaw"
Ah yeah, I'd say it's almost entirely quick-time-events. It's like a modern point-and-click / interactive story type thing. Some freedom to walk around and choose what you interact with, then it's watching a scene unfold and tapping the button at the right time to select a dialogue option or action.
Not always my cup-of-tea either but... when it comes to this ship and this crew, you’re damned right I play it safe the game.
It's the former Telltale lads which is absolutely fine with me for a Star Trek game.
They are always more plot than gameplay which I think suits Star Trek.
Can't wait to give it a go in a few weeks when I get time.
Its getting decent reviews. Im holding off as im not a fan of games with QTE and apparently the game is littered with them.
Yes, was just coming here to say — got it yesterday. Took a couple of hours but managed to get it working on the Steam Deck (it’s an Epic Store exclusive on PC unfortunately). Performance isn’t great but it’s ‘good enough’ so far. It’s obviously a poorly optimised PC port so hopefully that’ll improve in time.
Not very far into it anyway. Guess I’m past the intros and just about to start the first mission. I’ll pick it up again this evening.
Like I said, it’s poorly optimised, with stutters and little visual glitches, at least on the ‘Deck although I’ve heard it’s not much better elsewhere, but….
It’s SO GOOD! 😅
Just walking around the station and the ship a bit so far. Chatting to some people. It feels great. Very TNG-era Star Trek. For anyone else I’d recommend waiting for patches but for a Trek fan (particularly TNG, DS9, Voy), on first impressions I’d say go for it. I can’t wait to play more.
Hope it does well enough too. I’d love to see more of this sort of thing.
Resurgence? Apparently it's not terrible. They've botched the PC release by making it an Epics Store exclusive though.
Dod anyone pick up that Star Trek game? It released with very little fanfare.
The second it does throw out something original or revolutionary might be worrisome.
Ok, that's really impressive. I mean, it's nothing revolutionary or original, but it's at least as well structured as some of the official adventures I've bought, and some of those have whole subreddits dedicated to making them workable! In fact, there's quite probably more there than in some drivethruRPG I've paid cash money for. I guess what it's primarily doing is freeing up a lot of your time to add the creative embellishments.
