Clerical Offcier 2023 open for everywhere except Dublin - which has its own panel from last year
details below
Enquired about my application for kerry campaign of 2022, got this reply..not sure what to think as I got 306 in it..77 places away from being called..wonder will I just fall short of getting anything...fingers crossed anyway I guess..
O I don't know perhaps was a computer error 😕
Xgh
@[Deleted User] thats what I was thinking but got told can’t change it due to order of merit been given. I was just seeing did anyone else have it happen to them and is there a solution to it. I am going to have to try and maybe ring them and explain I didn’t pick the county I was offered. I could only choose one county due to reasons needing to be close to home. Thanks again
Just Incase anyone wanted to know the answer about 1st and 2nd choice I emailed them and got this response....
"If your OOM is reached on the panel for either of the counties you will be invited for interview regardless of whether it was your first or second choice. Please note however that candidates may only interview for one of their chosen locations so should you accept an interview for one county you will be removed from the panel for the other."
Also FYI for anyone who wanted to know
"In the Co 2022 competition we reached up to OOM 60 for Co Roscommon and 76 for Co Sligo for interview."
So what does that mean if I have been onto stage 2 for Cork, to register interest but I am 77 places away from being to register interest for kerry as kerry was my first preference
I assume it would mean you are taken off the panel for Kerry as chances are you have secured a job for cork as you are on the next stage?
So is that saying many positions are being recruited for? If so it's good for Galway. Seems to be a Lot. I'm not mis reading it and it's just the actual amount of Co s working there?
...
Anyone else get asked to list there preferred town in their chosen county?
i just after receiving location preference as well
I didn't take up the offer of cork...as campaign 2022 ends next month (June)..they told me the other day that they have called up to 229..I am 307..surely they'll get to me as its 75 places of a difference between it and ends in June..fingers crossed anyways..
O then I think you will be fine once u didnt accept or interview for cork....Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Hopefully..ya it was last Monday (22nd) that I express my interest for cork..they'll surely get through 75 places between now and end of June.. Guess I'll know in a months time my faith 😬
What counties had you chosen if you don’t mind me asking? I didn’t get anything about preferred town but maybe it’s because Leitrim and roscommon won’t have as many people to take on?
I got it for Carlow
I presume they got to 60 for interviews rather than employed 60?
Yes, I did for galway. Asked to order from 1st preference down
Anyone asked their preferred town in Cork? Can I ask your OOM too?
Hi all,
I am just wondering did they send anyone the wrong location than what they chose on the first location preference when choosing the county.
Apologies about posting again it’s just I am in a discussion with them about this and I would be looking for examples of it happening to others if at all possible as I didn’t chose the location they sent me.
Thanks.
From experience, getting an OOM of the 600's in previous competitions from stage 1 which was an assessment and then jumped to maybe high 100s in the attuptide tests which was stage 2 got people placed pending interview which was stage 3 moved you up the rank again. But your OOM can jump rapidly depending on your follow up results / interviews etc. Seen people jump big places in OOM after an interview. Not sure how the 2023 campaign is working. Still plenty of staff retiring at present in the CS.
Still waiting on result of first assement based in Cork, is ther anyone else still waiting?
Last campaign they got to about 62 and stalled for ages. Seemed to be about 3 batches of 20 called. I've no idea what they reached after December though so they may hit 100.
About 300. Maybe higher. The early 200s were called in Jan for interview.
They got rid of the clerical assessments during covid. They haven't been part of the last 3 panels.
The interviews however are tougher. Zoom alone makes it bad enough but the questions are more varied.
Eg how do you keep yourself motivated whilst doing the same task every day?
How would you deal with a client crying over the counter at you in social welfare because you can't help them and a big queue behind her?
Yes, for Galway.
Anyone know what the chances are in Galway being OOM 90-110? And 190-200 for Westmeath?
any links to interview practice Q and As?
What is your OOM if you don’t mind me asking? Do you have any indication of how many jobs are available? Thanks
Does anybody know how high they went with OOM 2022 in Westmeath ? Just checking if 300s will be called.😪
I’m between 190-210 (I think) for Westmeath - hoping to be called
