Elites. I've got the pros. Also going off the Ben Parkes video but also going off a few others I heard. I used them during an sacouny event over here and they felt weird. However the alphafly 3 imo would be better.
I think it's the elites, been parks and Fordy runs did reviews recently, check them out on youtube
Do you mean the Elites or Saucony supers in general?
Thanks, found them on their website now, having a look...
Edit: they only seem to have very large or very small sizes left... :(
I just got the mens Novablast 3 for 90 and women's for 84 in elverys if your on the look out
I just bought the Hoka Mach 5, as I want to see if they can replace my Ride 16 as a daily trainer.
I know they may have been on sale for very low prices a few months back, but the only good deal I could find recently is on misterrunning.com (they don't have many sizes left).
Paid 99.90 for the black version, which is the one I really wanted, so I qualified for free shipment as well. The price was actually 104.90 but I signed up to their newsletter and got a 5€ discount code. The code is probably a generic one and I guess it can be reused: NEWS5.
Trustpilot has great reviews for that website, not so much for farfetch.com which is another site where there was a good offer.
Next I'm going to buy the Saucony Triumph 20, but in a month the new model will be out, so there may be better discounts then on the black or grey model (the other colours are a bit too flashy for me).
Another good deal I was about to get is on the Asics Magic Speed 2, retailing at 180€, but if you sign up on the Asics website they're on sale for 126, plus an additional 15% you get when you sign up, which should be applicable to sale items as well. The price would be 107 euro that way, but I really wanted the Hoka at this time. I guess the Magic Speed can be found elsewhere for similarly low prices. I wanted to use my 15% discount but couldn't find any great shoes at good prices on the Asics website: the Nimbus 25 got mixed reviews, the Novablast 3 and Superblast are still at retail price, etc.
Better off getting the Nike ones. I heard a few saying their style are really for elite or sub 2:45 marathoners.
Yeah, I've a pair of Pro 3
Have you wore any of the Endorphin Pros or Speeds before?
Thinking of getting the Endorphin Elites for Amsterdam marathon.
One slight worry though from a youtube review was toe knuckle chafing from the toe box mesh.
Guy said it was a problem after 21 miles. Fantastic review other than that.
Anyone got a pair?
I got my Velocity Nitro 2s from Asos. They're fine. Not a place you would normally associate with running or proper sports gear at all but obviously that doesn't matter once the model of shoe is good.
Have really enjoyed a few pairs of the Asics Magicspeed, the first version.
Got a pair of the Magicspeed 2 and really don’t care for them. Any recommendation for a similar shoe to the 1?
Ah ASOS are dead on. One of the biggest online retailers there is
Cheers...had a look there and somehow ended up on ASOS.com and found a pair for €71 (!)
Seems almost too good to be true....are ASOS reliable/kosher? Never bought off them before.
Edit: took the plunge...will hopefully be back next week with a positive update 😁
Recently went from Asics GT 2000 to Hoka Clifton 9, I thought the asics were comfortable, the Hoka are incredible, 3 weeks in and 12 runs later, loving them.
startfitness.co.uk have some Puma stuff at good prices. UK based though so could work out more expensive if you have to add on VAT and duty and fees
I think my 5 years love affair with Pegasus is coming to an end....started off with Pegasus 35 and liked them, absolutely loved the 36's but found them to be pretty meh since tbh.
Got a pair of Puma Velocity Nitros a while back (following a recommendation on the Deals thread) and find them a great show for regular stuff and sessions.
Does anywhere have deals/sales on Puma?
Looked in a few of the regular haunts and found they weren't there or cost more than the Puma website 😕
Great to hear.
Just ordered. I'll report back.
MtM
Bought from them on 22/02. Delivered on 02/03 via DHL. No issues really, havent had to return
Sound - thanks - I'll pull the trigger.
I haven't used personally but a few in my club have used it with no complaints
Hi all.
Has anyone on here purchased from https://www.misterrunning.com/en/
The phone number looks like it is an Italian site.
Any issues with delivery returns?
I'm looking for a pair of Saucony Tempus mens for long runs - but dont want to pay the full 190 euro price 😉
Just bought another pair of speed 3s as can't believe the difference they're making to my PF €165 on sports shoes with code saucony15.
Should get most of the year out of them.
Life style sports, sportsshoes, runnerinn and asos all have them. Free sail with every pair
How about the New Balance Fresh Foam More v4 to go with my Ride 16? I'm reading some great reviews of those shoes.
Edit: I'm unable to find it for sale online anymore. I'm going to look for shoes I can actually buy, ideally for sale.
To me, yes, but these things are a bit subjective. They're not as spongy as something like the Saucony Triumph but I feel that they're softer than the Floatride Energy or Ride.
Are the Velocity Nitro's soft Sandwell?
I'd add the Puma Velocity Nitro to the list. Usually available for around 80 quid on puma.ie. I rotate them with a pair of Saucony Ride and a pair of Reebok Floatride Energy for my easy mileage. All good shoes but the Puma is my favorite of the three.
Another potential one is the hoka Clifton 8. Always on sale
I bought a par of Hoka Mach 5 at the beginning of the year and love them for long easy runs. Light as a feather and durable. Have about 500 miles on them and still feel the same as the day I bought them.
I got them from Bergfreund for €97. A few online in or around €100
