Took them out for a nice progression from general pace up to VO2max yesterday. My initial experience is quite positive. The midsole and grip seems good, the upper is a bit cheaper than say the speed 2 but what's an upper really. Light as well.
Might update at 100 miles
You sure you didn't get the 3? That's what I got in that deal.
What a great show btw. Got them after rave reviews here.
Wasn't mad about them after first two runs. 50km in them now and already an all time favourite. I just hope they're durable.
Edit: in response to wottle. Forgot to quote
Yep it was the 3s, my bad, no idea why I thought they were the 2s. Nearly 200 miles on them already!
Absolutely love the endorphin speed 1 and 2, the first couple of hundred miles are always enjoyable, the rocker seems perfect for steady to tempo running but my last two pairs of endorphin speed(2s) lost a bit of their vigor after about 300 miles. Hopefully the new model is a bit more robust. * might be all in my head but the drop in performance was after a drenching. Maybe not a rainy day shoe :-)
I am considering a pair for the second half of my Amsterdam block when I'm bolloxed and need some renewal.
I have 2's and 3's in rotation at the moment, both with around 500km on them. The 2's actually feel better underfoot then the 3's which feel a little dead tbh but would be slightly more stable overall. Both still good but I'll probably look to get a pair of the 2's on sale in June rather than the 3's.
Since @Wottle mentioned the heel support I picked up a pair of Speed 3. Can confirm they've been great to run in whilst suffering with plantar fascitis. All easy runs thus far, will be a little while before I stretch the legs out.
Very few places seem to have the 2s in stock these days. Have been after a pair for a while. Won't be paying 200 on amazon for them either .
I’ve had the 1, 2 & now 3s.
the 1s were a revelation for sure, the 2s were better still. Im not sure yet about the 3s, definitely underwhelming on the first run but I’m told to give them time. They do seem to feel better after 150k alright. Softer and not as peppy maybe? I use them for marathon long runs mostly, maybe a tempo session
oh that's a pity, I was just holding off until all the new releases and not looking at shoe sites........ I got caught last year buying too early. It would be shame if there were no 2's to be had, although I've a long list so I'll make up for it :-) Want to try the Novablast 3's, More V4's and maybe the Saucony tempus / tempest ?
Folks,
anywhere doing good deals on Ladies Brooks Glycerin GTS 20?
Cheapest I can find is 140 on Alltricks
MtM
Lots of people like the More 4’s, I really disliked them. They were a recovery day shoe for me, which is all they could be used for, but i do plenty easy runs with a couple of strides, and these won’t do that in my experience. Retired them after nearly 650km, I don’t know why I persisted. I’m wearing them here in the house today - ideal walking shoe :)
i got the Rebel v2 instead for easy+strides - light as a feather and soft as butter. The main negative with the rebel is theres very little stability
The more 4 were just too big and clunky for me
great thanks for the feedback on the More v4's. It was a tos up between them and the Triumph 20. I might veer towards the triumph 20's so and perhaps a look at the rebel v2. I do a lot of easy running so some soft comfort is what I'm after
Sale on lifestyle started today, some good deals
I ended up getting the Glycerin GTS for 133 including postage from Amazon Germany.
If anyone has a cheaper source for these, let me know?
Also looking for a discounted pair of Saucony Tempus - Men's - not willing to pay 190 Euro sticker price 🙄
100KM in and I'm really liking them. So much so I may keep an eye for another pair.
They feel a little like moon shoes to walk in, and I’m m definitely not as stable doing stretches that involve standing on one leg, but they feel good running.
Yeah the novablast and the more v4 look like they might be clunky on foot but some people swear by them. If I can't snag the speed 2s I'll probably go with the triumph 20. The 21s are out soon so there should be deals on the 20s
Hi everyone, any recommendations for a pair of shoes to put into rotation with the Saucony Ride 16 I recently got?
If it's last year model I don't mind, I feel I got short changed by buying the Saucony in a traditional store, based on their reviews. I thought they'd give me personalised advice, but I only received generic recommendations and the price was steep (140€).
Ideally I'd like to get a pair of those shoes with very high cushion and feeling of "running on air" for longer runs, ideally, even just to try something new.
Thanks.
I bought a par of Hoka Mach 5 at the beginning of the year and love them for long easy runs. Light as a feather and durable. Have about 500 miles on them and still feel the same as the day I bought them.
I got them from Bergfreund for €97. A few online in or around €100
Another potential one is the hoka Clifton 8. Always on sale
I'd add the Puma Velocity Nitro to the list. Usually available for around 80 quid on puma.ie. I rotate them with a pair of Saucony Ride and a pair of Reebok Floatride Energy for my easy mileage. All good shoes but the Puma is my favorite of the three.
Are the Velocity Nitro's soft Sandwell?
To me, yes, but these things are a bit subjective. They're not as spongy as something like the Saucony Triumph but I feel that they're softer than the Floatride Energy or Ride.
How about the New Balance Fresh Foam More v4 to go with my Ride 16? I'm reading some great reviews of those shoes.
Edit: I'm unable to find it for sale online anymore. I'm going to look for shoes I can actually buy, ideally for sale.
Life style sports, sportsshoes, runnerinn and asos all have them. Free sail with every pair
Just bought another pair of speed 3s as can't believe the difference they're making to my PF €165 on sports shoes with code saucony15.
Should get most of the year out of them.
Hi all.
Has anyone on here purchased from https://www.misterrunning.com/en/
The phone number looks like it is an Italian site.
Any issues with delivery returns?
I'm looking for a pair of Saucony Tempus mens for long runs - but dont want to pay the full 190 euro price 😉
I haven't used personally but a few in my club have used it with no complaints
Sound - thanks - I'll pull the trigger.
Bought from them on 22/02. Delivered on 02/03 via DHL. No issues really, havent had to return
Great to hear.
Just ordered. I'll report back.
