Clerical Offcier 2023 open for everywhere except Dublin - which has its own panel from last year
details below
My assessment score was 557
Same happened to me. My first preference came few hours ltr
I am 72 for Galway. Scored 599. Well done you great score. Shoe in first covert. What counties?
I scored 599. Fantastic score for you well done!
Hi all. New on thread. Applied for Civil Service Wicklow. Did aptitude test and just got an email to say I'm 66 in Wicklow. No idea if that's good. Haven't done interview yet. Was in a competition for Dublin in 2021 or 2020 not sure. Got 3 on panel after interview on that one but ultimately had to drop out. If I'm 66 in a queue for interview I'd say it could be years waiting 😂
Ya i don't know tbh. Possibly depends on County. I'm 72 for Galway but don't know if it's good or not. Friend of mine was in the 100s in Dublin and got interview and position.
Curious why that’s the case? I had a good few “adequate” and I looked back over and honestly I still agree with myself. Lots of “yes that’s good but you should also do x” in my mind…
that’s definitely where I fell down, I’ll know that for next year. I placed 580 for cork, mortified 😂 I’ve never performed as poorly.
Thanks. Top 5 for both my choices. Slightly in shock. Last time I was in the 120-220 range for both.
Wow that's some difference from last time well done you 👏👏👏
Should come through later. I got 2nd preference first and 3 hrs later my first preference oom
Shows you don't dither and can make decisions. That you can focus on your job and that you know who to ask for what. Also that you understand how the line order works.
If I recall a couple of them were about helping out higher ups who were not your direct boss. It would have to be cleared with them for you to agree etc. And helping a collègue who's falling behind may seem like the humane and reasonable thing to do but if it keeps you from meeting your deadlines it's not necessarily the correct thing to do.
And then for the customer service, phone questions etc you need to pick the lots of experience of a long time period. But realistically wherever you may have worked you have likely dealt with people over the phone, email, serving people across a till even counts as customer service. It's more about not negating what you have done but thinking about every job you have had as combined experience.
Wow! I'd love to see the answers to 2nd part of assessment so could improve next time!
Brilliant score... From what I see here you will definitely be called for an interview, congratulations 🎉👏
I definitely picked a few as adequate
I'm guessing that a % of people get through to interview with no strong desire to continue the process. Anyone hazard what that number would be? The questions seemed to be more about picking suitable candidates for the CS more so than necessarily the best people.
That’s an unreal score! Well done you 🎉
got high 300s for Louth but scored low 500s in the assessment, seems a poor placement for an average score. Think I came 50th with a score like that a year back for Louth
I think it's just down to amount of ppl who apply in your County. My score wasn't much higher and placed 72 in Galway
Did u not get placed with OOM of 50 in the last competition?
Got 156 for Mayo in the finish. I don't know if it's a good or bad score. Scored 559 in assessment. I'm hoping to get an interview.
Scored 525. 300 in Leitrim and 425 in Sligo. That seems really low for a slightly above average score. I haven't a hope of getting called I think.
I scored 19 for Leitrim and 11 for roscommon. Does anyone know where in roscommon and Leitrim actually take people on? I know there’s a department in carrick on Shannon but are there any others in Leitrim? And where is roscommon would you be placed?
45 Meath, 44 louth. Hopefully be called soon enough.
Damn I got a very low score and ranking. How do they even go about scoring these things? Would love to see the answers you all put because I’m at a loss for how I could be so low?
@ddls33 department of agriculture is in Drumshanbo not sure about Roscommon
Got 541. So 234 for 1st preference and 413 for 2nd! Ah well! There’s always next year. I can barely remember my answers I think one or 2 were the top response then one or 2 the last response and the rest were the middle answer with “good response but more info needed”
Picked dublin as my first choice
Got the same score (541). 1st choice in Laois 183, Kilkenny 201. Definitely depends on applications received in each county. Hoping to get an interview sooner then later.
Well done everyone and best of luck 😊
Ooooo I didn't realise that mattered tbh that's such a shame 😞
Can I ask what you scored in the assessment?
