expensive even with the discount (but i don't think i've seen greater than 20% in previous sales), but very good quality speakers that might be of interest to some people

I have spent money on speakers, proper speakers and a proper amp which can produce a wide and accurate sound stage.
Most of the Sonos stuff comes with no Subwoofer, you have to pay extra.
Yeah, as far as wifi speakers go, they're excellent, miles ahead of echo and google home in terms of sound quality.
They cost multiple times though.
Also you are not just paying for the hardware, but also the software. Sonos have reportedly spent over $1 billion on R&D over the last 5 years.
The simplicity in setting up and using the software is what makes it so popular. It just works.
You sir are incorrect right there.
Have them though out the house and ability to group speaker and have fantastic sound through out the house when needed is class. Never mind the surround sound for movies and matches, integrated Google and Alexa, etc etc...
They're a luxury item, people can survive without them. But if you want to spend money on speakers they are highly recommended.
Have to disagree, for years I have had various Bose, B&O, Samsung, LG speakers and sound bars, Sonos speakers are fantastic for what you pay, particularly in pairs and connected to the Beam for home cinema. The Roams are great for bathrooms, but the charge duration is a little annoying. can’t speak at the moment about the new Era speakers, but I’ll be ordering soon.
Even with 75% off Sonos stuff is overpriced junk.
The white sub is showing €679 at the moment.
Wonder will they price match Sonos themselves? Would be bargain especially with the revolut cashback , suppose not eh treasure island
Ha, I just bought a sub off Currys for €679 in what I assumed was a misprice, it went back up to €949 off them after I ordered it. Still slightly cheaper than the current sale price off Sonos, sounds great too.
Seems like Harvey Norman is matching the prices (with the 25% discount added) on the Sonos website.

They dont brick devices anymore. They got huge fight back against that.
Now when you trade in you get a 15% off a new speaker but your old one continues to work.
the 15% discount cannot be stacked.
I dont like the way Sonos brick devices after a few years - rendering them useless. I wouldn't trust spending much on them.
Couple expensive units linked to below for example...

It was changed a while back so they can be activiated in the online account.
Just had a read of the T&Cs of the upgrade program.
The Discount Credit is valid only at http://www.sonos.com and will not expire until used. The Discount Credit is single use. The Discount Credit cannot be combined with any other promotion, discount, or special pricing and may not be used on gift cards, refurbished products, or third-party products.
So looks like a no.....
upgrade discounts are applied through the app aren't they? I doubt they'd stack the discounts...
edit : t's and c's say you can't, but maybe it'd work
edit 2 - it gets worse - the upgrade discount of 15% replaces the sale price, so you can't even see the sale price on the summer offers page and can't get the sale price in the checkout. so to get the 25%, you'd have to purchase using a different email address
Any idea if upgrade discounts for legacy products can be applied to sale prices?
