Welcome to the world of people asking questions rather than parroting propaganda
Interesting video on the Russian efforts having some success at jamming US weapons from jdams to missles in Ukraine
In the entire history of this thread no poster has done more savaging of people for questioning the pro-Ukrainian narratives then you. I'm not sure exactly why you have changed your tune in recent times but a guy showing up in a video to show that he's alive is a pretty good proof that he is in fact alive.
I think you may want to re read the thread then
An assertion made without proof can be dismissed without proof.
For people who believe he is dead, here is a video showing he is alive. If you have stronger evidence to the contrary then show it.
glad the Ukrainian general is still around,id imagine hes been a bit busy the last while with the war...id also say that we'll not hear about what all is/has gone down during this war for a year or two after the last shot has been fired and the last russian has gone back to russia
...
The Moskva was not sunk, she was vertically relocated to a more advantageous position in order to put out a fire.
20 Ukrainian cadet pilots will be brought to the UK at some stage to begin ground school before returning later on to receive specific training no specific time frame has yet to be given
Yeah who were the experts telling us two weeks ago he'd been poisoned?
Gone silent as usual
Amazingly prescient, even if McCain himself was a gung ho supporter of an equally illegal war of conquest
According to UK security think-tank RUSI, Russia's electronic warfare has been effective overall.
the AFRF now employ approximately one major EW system per 10 km of frontage, usually situated approximately 7 km from the frontline, with more specialised EW capabilities sat at higher echelon. These platforms are usually aimed at controlling and defeating UAVs .... This is contributing to a Ukrainian loss rate in UAVs of approximately 10,000 per month.
Another function of Russian EW troops is interception and decryption of Ukrainian military communications. The Russian military is proving highly capable in this area. Ukrainian officers recalled one incident in which the Russian headquarters gave pre-emptive warning to its units of an artillery strike based on Ukrainian troops calling in a fire mission. The Ukrainian troops were communicating with Motorola radios with 256-bit encryption, but it appeared that the Russians were able to capture and decrypt these transmissions in near real time.
Alongside large systems such as the Shipovnik-Aero, the Russian military has been extensively rolling out EW effectors to be organic to units at all echelons. This includes counter-UAS capabilities assigned to each platoon, which usually include directional jammers and arrays for hijacking UAVs. Ukrainian forces now assess that at least one of these systems is available to each platoon within Russian line infantry units. Another EW function in the counter-UAS fight is deception measures that generate a large number of fake UAVs on enemy systems and replicate ground control stations.
I think it very much depends on the success of the Ukranian counter offensive whether Putin will be disposed of or not, if facts on the ground show Russia has been pushed back to pre invasion lines or even further back to their own border, then no amount of Kremlin spin will be able to obscure the reality that the war was an abysmal failure to ordinary Russians. At the moment Putin is able to invoke the spirit of Stalingrad to justify mass casualties in pursuit of some vague notion of a heroic victory. If the elite around Putin see that he is weak and his days maybe numbered then they will of course move against him. I believe this very scenario could come about by August or September.
The Sky News documentary on Putin was very similar to McCain's analysis.
Where does it state they are "cadet pilots" ??
In the article
Storm Shadow - wonder what it hit.
There's a very valid and simple explanation for why Ukraine will fight to the last man, woman or child. The day they stop fighting Putin, he will kill them all, every last one of them, He has already proved this in the so called " De Nazified or Liberated" area's where they're still uncovering mass execution sites, and it's feared that there many more to be found. Wait until the last Russian has been ejected from the territory or Ukraine and I'm sure that there will be unspeakable horrors discovered. Moscow and St.Petersburg is where you will find the Russian mega rich, and downwards from there to the people sleeping rough on the streets. In the Russian winters, many drink themselves senseless, fall asleep, and that's it, they don't wake up. Outside these two cities, its a very different world. Chalk and cheese describes it perfectly. In the rural areas especially, life is still pretty basic. Hence the mass liberation ( theft) of toilets and plumbing, washing machine's TVs etc. And the Russian army is composed of far more regular troops than convicts or mercenaries. Maybe one of these days, the pressure cooker that is Putins Russia, will reach critical mass, and there will be a big explosion / revolution.
You're exaggerating about the first part but let's hope the second proves true. An uprising in Russia and complete regime change is still the best or maybe only chance of a complete and proper end to the conflict
How is that an exaggeration?
Are there not very likely to be grotesque retaliation and reprisals against the civilian and serving population of Ukraine in the event of a defeat on the battlefield?
You would bet against it?
orcs came to his house, killed his goldfish in aquarium, took his cat hostage...what do ya all expect a man to sing?
Some people are holding out for a negotiated settlement as they hoped would happen,
I'm sure there was jews across Europe in 1939 hoped this would happen and the Germans would come to there senses

Russian video of the Ivan Khurs supposedly all safe and sound at Sevastopol.
Only problem is that clearly isn't Sevastopol (Sevastopol is a deepwater port and isn't surrounded by mountains, unlike this video).
Looks like the Ivan Khurs will be the new Zaluhzny.
"The modern age."
Not sure if you saw the footage of it being hit.
Some war though. It's a war on the Internet too.
I watched the winter on fire documentary on Netflix in 2016 7 years ago now. I found it shocking at the time . It was obvious then what Putin was like and what his intentions were for Ukraine from watching that. Actually when Putin became president for life in 2012 the alarm bells should have been ringing loud and clear and I remember being startled by it at the time . To even go back further I remember being chilled to the bone by the events surrounding the Kursk submarine disaster . That was possibly the first time I gotten a hint of the dark side still present in Russia. The Chechen wars were not at all framed in the same light as the current war in our media. The Russians nearly appeared as the righteous ones . Of course I had grown up in the period of Gorbachev and glasnost . The narrative always appeared that USSR and later Yeltsins Russia were moving in the right direction and opening up and McDonald’s were moving in . I had never really seen the dark side of Russia/USSR as a daily news item. That was all way back in the 70’s and before. USSR/Russian aggression was supposed to be an issue consigned to history. How wrong we were.
Yea, this video was posted here and elsewhere on the internet yesterday.
Russia is a monster and this war is blatant aggressive imperialism. But the claim Russia wants to kill every man, woman and child in Ukraine is just patently untrue. This was what the Nazis wanted to do to the Jews: outright extermination. Russia wants to subjugate Ukraine and its people, it's also a terrible crime but it's not the same thing. You'd have to be pretty dumb not to see the difference
But they will kill every man woman and child that don't wish to be subjugated
seems that the Ukrainian counter around bakhmut was infact an evacuation operation to deblock the supply roads around bakhmut.
UAF now "withdrawing to more advantageous positions"
