Tina Turner was a legend. An incredible live performer, survivor of brutality and adversity and an artist that left a musical legacy that will be listened to and enjoyed for a long, long time to come.

The Tina documentary is so good. Jeez, Ike was some scumbag. She literally escaped from him and hid in friends' places. Penniless. Had to start again, which was so hard because it had always been Ike and Tina. The way she built herself up from dinner theatre to global superstar in eight years, not young, battered and bruised... what an amazing person.
An absolute powerhouse of a woman. Thank you so much Tina for all the happy memories and fantastic music.

Yep. I read about this last night. She really was Simply The Best. RIP Tina you legend. I hope your music shines on forever.
