He was definitely still receiving his full salary up until at least 21st April of this year, which was the date set for the independant 3 person hearing on his dismissal.
There is nothing, anywhere, reported on whether that hearing took place or not.
If it is still under appeal, he is probably still getting paid.
As you say , he wouldn't qualify if he applied but he won't do it anyway as applying for it would be an admission that he is no longer employed by the school, which he in incapable of doing.
The Entire families M.O. is to simply pretend that anything they do like has ever happened or has any validity.
He doesn't have a leg to stand on regarding the substantive issue of the use of pro-nouns under current law.
However it is possible that the school may not have fully dotted and crossed all the required "I"s and "T"s when they suspended him and so if he actually challenged them on the technical aspects of the process he might have valid arguments , but he'll never get to that stage.

Specifically with Wilson’s hospital school though. You’d imagine if the appeal was decided on in favour of the school he would not be (or still would cos they are supposedly slow enough to sort it).
my assumption would be that the appeal itself was postponed since the High Court was deciding whether the school were lawful in any of it to begin with.
I think it's a safe bet he'll be up in front of the teaching council once the legal farce is done.
I've said it before but what a tragic waste of potential in that family. With some sanity and an ability to behave rationally they could have been a force to be reckoned with.
Instead they're dragged kicking and screaming from the courts giving mammy the opportunity to play up to the cameras.
His English equivalent has been banned from teaching.
The English guy criticised the way Burke was protesting from memory. He kept it a lot saner when doing the legal bits
He was still being paid by Wilsons up until April.
I read about this guy. What he did was disgusting and deliberate and completely out of order. He deserves the ban.

But this guy was also sacked from a second school, for calling Muhammad a false prophet!
What I found interesting at the trial was that when Niamh McShane testified, it was revealed that the student involved in this case was not the first child to request a different name and/or pronoun at WHS.
There was another student in December of the year before (2021) , and similar request were made of the staff, but Enoch raised no objections in that case.
So why this time?
New name and pronoun
Niamh McShane, who was the principal of Wilson’s Hospital School from 2016 to 2022, gave evidence to say that when she sent an email on May 9th, 2022, to request that a student be referred to by a new name and the pronoun “they”, she had not thought much of it because they had issued a similar request in November 2021, without incident.
I think the SC for Wilson’s mentioned that they would continue to pay him until the judgement was in? I’m not sure was it the current one or other on going cases? I’ve lost track since Simeon and Ammi were thrown in the mix 😂
One too many perhaps? Maybe behind the scenes it was getting up his nose and when another request came in, it sent him over the edge?
Total speculation on my part, but here is what I think may have happened.
High Court trial was set for end March.
Dismissal appeal was set for 21 April. But nobody expected the judgements would take so long.
As:
(a) the DPP did not decide until 12 May that they would not proceed with criminal trespass charge and
(b) Justice Owens did not deliver his ruling until 19 May
Its most likely the independant dismissal hearing was postponed in April and its quite possible Enoch is still being paid.
Now that (a) and (b) has happened, it will probably be scheduled for a new date.
This whole saga shows how academic excellence does not always come with common sense and “emotional intelligence “ as part of the package. I’ve known one or two academically gifted individuals who were hard set to tie their own shoelaces or had no idea how to behave in a social situation. The Burke siblings seem to tick all the boxes academically but the home school provided by mammy Burke doesn’t seem to have had common sense on the curriculum. It’s a sad situation and shows how more regulation's are needed in the field of home schooling
You mean, he bought into the whole "transgender isn't real, it's an ideology and the rainbow mafia are trying to corrupt our kids and take over the world" hysteria, and he had a bit of a meltdown?

Honestly I feel as if he just didn’t want to be a teacher anymore and this was the only way he could save face/justify it to his mad family.
What other option could there be for shooting yourself in the foot so royally, for something so ridiculously trivial?!

But he had no objection to the previous student in 2021.
How would Mammy and Daddy have known about the student in the school if he had just decided to not rock the boat in order to keep his reputation on his job?
He wouldn't have spent three months in jail if that was the point.
Why he then objected to this student in May 2022 is a question I'd love to know the answer to, too.
As for Mammy and Daddy, he probably sought their counsel. I'd say they know everything that goes on in all their childrens' lives.
Pure speculation, but I'm wondering if perhaps someone, student or colleague, called him out for his failure to address the previous student properly, leading to him going apesh1t next time round.
Another possibility, for sure!
Or Mammy heard about it and raked him over the coals for falling from the righteous path...
He has form there , remember that time he almost went to a work event where alcohol and dancing might have been involved?
That's right.
And he said he was okay afterwards, once his parents had put him back on the right path.
