I know it’s difficult to tell when dealing with such nonsense but what’s the end game on going to the school every day?
I sort of understand he was trying to make a point of ‘I should be here’ but at some stage he has to actually stop going as it’s fairly clear that beside making him look like a moron that actually it’s doing or proving nothing at this stage.
I think it gives the whole family far too much credit to even speculate that there may be an end-game or some kind of master strategy behind any of their actions.
So what's the procedure for collecting this? Pretty safe bet he doesn't have 500k in dispoable income. The fines are one thing - but who pays the legal fees if/when he can't?
It really doesn't matter how much he owes or how much he's fined. He simply won't pay and will do time as he seems to be prepared to do. He thinks he's in the right and will see himself as a prisoner of conscience. Everyone knows that this family as as daft as a bag of monkeys but the fact is that they don't.

I was reading about the other lad back in April. Basically, he was being given an option to avoid a conviction, he confers with the family and 5 mins later he's accusing the witnesses of having committed perjury and, bang, conviction.
They just can't help themselves.
That might work on the State regarding the fines, but the lawyers are going to want to be paid. And if he's in jail, that's unlikely to happen (unlikely to happen anyway)
Everything about all of their actions is tied to their utterly unshakable belief that they are absolutely 100% correct.
In their mind even the slightest engagement with the process is somehow an admission of guilt.
Enoch believes that to obey the terms of the original suspension (and all the later judicial penalties) would be some kind of acknowledgement that it might be possible that the other side is right and as such would be disrespectful to God so they just can't bring themselves to do it.
Exactly the same behaviour exhibited by Simeon in his refusal to accept Bail in his case and by Ammi in her refusal to engage with the various review boards and Judges in her unfair dismissal case.
They truly believe that they are absolutely correct and that any deviation from that is an insult to God , so they will keep this up indefinitely.
The end game is that God will let him into Heaven for standing up to evil as long as he sticks to his guns.
Or as the travellers would say, "May God be good to him and give him a bed in Heaven".
But could we be seeing him there in 20 years, still standing outside? What a terrible waste of a life.

Very briefly on Friday the IT ran a story and then removed it from the site that the student at the centre of this is suing Wilson’s through their mother. I suppose they’ll have more luck getting money out of Wilson’s than the Burkes.

That's 3 Adults with top level degrees who almost certainly have ruined their chances of ever getting meaningful employment in their chosen fields of study for no apparent reason other than belligerence and blind loyalty.
They are utterly incompatible with modern society and appear incapable of any kind of compromise even in the form of "agree to disagree".
I was thinking more along the lines of days in court x legal fees at approximately €20k per day in the High Court? There’s been so many cases, appeals etc, I’m not sure I’d remember 🫣😂

The lot of them will never get a job offer in this country or pretty much anywhere else except the USA at this stage, so the ones who are currently employed need to be constantly on watch about stuff that could have them sacked.
I read that IT article before it was (very quickly) removed from online.
It was completely vague, and had absolutely no details of what they were supposed to be taking action against the school for, or why.
I doubt there is any actual truth to it.

Don’t see what grounds they could have for compensation, Wilson’s have done everything they can to get rid of Enoch.
The only thing they could do now is hire a line of bouncers to stand at the very edge of the property so Enoch would have no safe place to stand!
He really doesn't have any meaningful grounds for appeal , assuming he could keep his mouth shut long enough for the case to be heard.
He can't appeal just because he doesn't like the outcome , he has to have some specific point of law to challenge and he really doesn't.
To be able to get to the stage of potentially having a legal discussion about his actual suspension - In which their might be a possibility of some procedural errors , he'd have to first purge his contempt and stop turning up at the school etc.
And because he won't do that , he will never actually get the chance to litigate the part of his case that might possibly have a sliver of merit.
Just like his sister Ammi, who might have actually had some valid legal arguments vis-à-vis her dismissal but because she can't stop shouting at the Judges and ranting in the court room those arguments will never get heard.
Like I said earlier , they are utterly incapable of getting out of their own way. Their hubris and blind, belligerent faith are their repeated undoing.

Dad driving him to work, Living at home with mammy and daddy. No job, Not to worry we give him the dole each week.
I hope out of principle they make him at least bankrupt so he will struggle getting a mortgage or even a phone contract in the future.

Thats why homeschooling needs some form of improved regulation.
They were not educated so much as indoctrinated by their homeschooling.

That's the nuts thing. I believe that a teacher should refer to someone by their preferred pronoun. But that doesn't mean it's entirely legal to make them do that. It would have been an interesting case to determine precedent. But it never got that far because he couldn't behave himself.

Homeschooling is fine and in terms of education they've all done very well - The whole family have gone to 3rd level and beyond.
The issue is the "indoctrination" as you say - whether or not that would have still happened if they were attending regular primary/secondary schools is hard to prove one way or the other though.
