Very interesting short on the "life" of a M777 crew hitting Ru targets
Can't be an easy job while back from the front lines your exposed with little or no protection from drones
I'm sure the west have a decent idea seen as they have a Torn-MDM in the US that the Ukrainian's captured last year.
There has always been rumours that the implementation of AES256 on certain Motorola's(commercial not Governmental) was a little suspect, and were weak to side chain attacks, it will be interesting to see what comes out of the wash from it.
Most are just Motorola DMR radios with the AES256 licence, so not exactly hard to come by.
They haven't said no, they said during the week a solution hadn't been agreed upon yet.
I Believe they Said that they wouldn't be sending their F16s
"Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has significantly walked back Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wopke Hoekstra's comments about the possibility of Dutch F-16 fighter heading to Ukraine. Though Rutte did not necessarily rule out the possibility of such a transfer entirely, he did say that were no plans to do so currently, and that it seemed unlikely to happen in the near term.
“That is a very big step, bigger than tanks,” Rutte said in regard to the possibility of sending fighter jets to Ukraine, according to Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant. He also said that Ukrainian officials had made no specific request to the government of the Netherlands about F-16s"
Nope... literally said the other day they hadn't reached a solution
Dutch government declines comment on progress in F-16 deliveries to Ukraine | Reuters
Ret. Vice Air Marshall Sean bell on the F16s to Ukraine, training won't start until spring and it could be 18 months or longer before any arrive in Ukraine...
I'm not so sure who said what means a lot - for all we know some Ukr. pilots may have already been trained behind the public discourse.
Yes some of the F16 information may be misinformation to keep Russia guessing...
Darth Putins take is sharp as usual:
Day 451 of my 3 day war. The “world’s second most powerful military” is OUTRAGED that Ukraine is getting a fighter aircraft that first flew *forty nine* YEARS ago.
I remain a master strategist.
Wasting your time there, best ignored.
Like that time they were trained on the A10 and they absolutely were definitely getting them according to people on here, followed by F18s,we do know 2 lads flew simulators for a week during the year
More than likely 2 years+ before everything is in place for them ,
Training will start next spring
They havent said no, they just have said there is no agreement yet.
Gatling, are you still dying on the hill that Ukraine will not ever get F-16s from the West?
Training to begin in the next few weeks.
Details to work out. How many F-16s will be provided, from who and how many?
Give it 8-12 weeks and those details will be sorted, and by then there should be a cohort of Ukrainian pilots being trained.
Training to take anything from 6 months - 2 years.
Won't see F-16s over Ukrainian skies in 2023, but more likely sometime 2024.
The old saying:
Whats the best time to plant a tree?
Whats the second best time?
Today.
According to the experts two UK Air Vice Marshalls, training won't begin till spring.
Not a few weeks
It's never going to happen. It's extend and pretend.
Where would the fighters be based in any case? They'll be constantly vulnerable to strikes on the ground at airfields in Ukraine.
It's all nonsense for cheap brownie points by western leaders. They know what way this is highly likely to go and that they'll never have to deliver on so called promises.
Sean Bell saying it will take at least 4 months for experienced Ukrainian fighter pilots to get trained on the F-16s.
This means there could be a small number of them flying in Ukrainian skies this year, which would be incredible if that materialised.
Hopefully !
Who are these? Is one of them Sean Bell, because in the video he isn't saying that.
Never?
Care to have a friendly wager?
Say 200 euro to the charity of ones choice?
I linked the full article he wrote, and he's the second Air Vice Marshall to say the exact same thing...
But according to mark on boards sure it's only going to be a few weeks,
2 week ?
6 weeks ?
But according to posters A10 warthogs were coming in a few weeks,
Then it was F18s in a few weeks,
Same posters f16 in a few weeks,
Without grasping the basics that it's going to take at least 2 years for western aircraft to arrive in Ukraine,
Logistics but ,but,but
The Bahrain deal Worth 12 billion was brought up,the deal was signed in 2018 and only received the first aircraft recently, there's a big clue in that one
I'd like to know where they think fighters could be based.
Logically it's totally unworkable. In Ukraine the airfields would be destroyed along with the jets. You could probably count the number of hours on two hands before they were hit.
This would be catastrophic for morale and western support.
They can't be based in another country because that would be a declaration of war.
More details on the training requirements needed for Ukrainian pilots.
4 months certainly seems doable.
English language aptitude seems to be a concern, but for all we know there are a bunch of Ukrainian pilots being tutored in English for the past 3 months, ready to go Training at a moment's notice.
Don't know,
But I'm sure they can tell us ,
6-8 weeks lads ,or ???
Not at all what I said.
What I did say is that training won't be as long as some made out and it won't be 2+ years before they are flying over Ukranian skies.
You were wrong about many things so far in this war, and you are wrong about the F-16s up to a few days ago. Now you are trying to save face by moving the goal posts. Tut tut.
That's the 3rd time you've repeated that.
I'm not away of anyone on here saying A10's nor F18's were definitely (your word) going to Ukraine.
There was a discussion about which aircraft would suit Ukraine etc.... It was all speculation and afaik, nobody within that discussion said with any definity that Ukraine were to receive them.
Likely be this year sometime or early next year. Again, look at the actions that have occurred, who has said what, stop taking everything literally. When you've got always wrong kermit on your side you must be able to get the hint.
Here's Dzhokhar Dudayev a man who really understood Russia.
In 1995 the year this interview was recorded I met a bunch of Russian lads in a pub and was treated to a wonderfull lecture about how Chechens were just ungratefull Russians that needed sorting out.
They have to be stopped now or we will all pay the price.
Just how are Russia going to destroy an airfield? Honest question.
They haven't destroyed the airstrips/roads that Ukraine are using for their Migs.
I'm aware an F16 can't just take off on any road or dirt strip (a highway, yes)
